We have designed and prototypes the components that make the dedicated MT10 tail light. Currently we are designing the molds that will be manufacturing the lens and ducts . After that we will cut the mold plates and all the other mold components. There is no way to tell exactly when we will have units for sale but we are shooting for early this summer

@@tigeurrilla Yes, our light is as bright, if not brighter, that the OEM unit. This light is also fully programmable as mentioned in this video and various brake and signal settings can be set with a simple press of the button on the back.

Typically once we launch, the parts are available for the lifecycle of the motorcycle they are for. This time we sold out of the first batch really quick, and had difficulty pushing next batch through production fast enough. Rest assured that more are being produced. It won't be long now before we have more up for sale.

Not at this time. It's a little trickier on these newer Yamaha models as the signal circuit is controlled entirely in the LCU and adding more than one full set of lights throws off the controller and causes your signals to no longer flash.

@@Average_D lately we do not give launch dates until the parts are made and ready to go. There are still a few things that can trip up a timeline so there is no way to 100% commit to a date. Here is a hint though...the molds are ready, texturized, and have been tested in test production. I have several assemblies that look the biz and already approved the tooling for production. Now it is just a matter of getting a slot in production for these sub-components and then assemble them into the final product. It won't be long now before they are available on our website.

No, this particular bike has an electronic flash controller built into other electronics and cannot be replaced. Our tail light is made in a way that doesn't trip that circuit up and needs no further help with flash control.

How did you get the seat to light gap so tight mine has big gap

This may vary from bike to bike. Those seats are built on a PP or PE base (don't remember the material right now). Both of these materials are pretty flexible. At the factory they staple the exterior material to the base. If they stretch it on a bit more tight while stapling, the seat can bow upwards. That can cause the larger gap. This is me just speculating. Several of the bikes we worked with looked to have a similar enough gap that we did not notice a difference.

The tail light is programmable so you can have standard function, or choose one of the other functions that have light patterns for brake and signal function. I did not understand the second part of your question.

Some of the components are shared between the MT09 and MT10 tail lights. I need to redesign only a few of the components, and then build the molds for them so we can mass produce. I need a bike to hang out here atthe shop for a week or two so I can carry out the design changes, prototyping and fitting. I have not secured this bike yet so I cannot tell you that the work has started, but I can tell you that I intend to do this.

This tail light does fit directly on the 10. I have personally modified two to be able to be mounted on that bike, and subsequently installed them. The gaps around the lens are not equal around the perimeter of the tail to taillight mating area. The side and top tail bodywork does not clip into the tail light. We will likely develop an MT10 specific light, but it will take some time.

There is a 2023 model here waiting for us to do some work on. I know that we are developing an ECU flash already. Then we are kicking out an ABS model specific high performance intake system. And the sequential Nexus with running light. I know some of these will need a video.
