I worked professionally with putting solar panels onto motorhomes. I have done everything from Class A Tiffins, Thors, Newmars, etc to Ford Transit Conversions. I am going to pick this video apart a bit. 1: You want a bit of extra space between the panel and the mounting surface. 6 inches (15.25 cm) What this does is allows the under side of the panel to have less air trapped under it as well as if the panel catches fire (Has happened) it doesn't trap the heat close to the vehicle. Even flexible panels (Which are garbage) should be mounted off surface. 2: The mounting of the Extra piece of aluminum should have been done with Bolts with lock nuts/ washers. The self tapping screws are small and could rip right out of the soft aluminum frame of the Panel. 3: You should use the existing mounting from the roof rack, or get a heavy duty roof rack to mount the panel so as not to damage the paint on the roof. 4: Don't trust adhesives to mount your panels. I have seen the adhesives break down or peel off allowing the panel to come loose. 5: Those wire channels are garbage, they are not UV rated and over the first year in most cases, will start to deform and trap water inside of them. Unfortunately there aren't really any regulations concerning solar on motor homes, but for safety and functionality, you need to make sure things are done correctly.

How the hell did you guys not get coverdale in sika 😮 I've glued my trousers to the side of a boat before, wiped fingers on jeans, then spent an hour prepping the roof for paint 😂

How would the panel ever have the diodes changed or swap out the panel with it glued down like that. You should maybe glue down a bracket but you need to be able to remove the panel. Great video and I love what y'all are doing
