Wow! I never thought of this. This solves my dilemma on where to install a sensor on my Tacoma
@kingturk39184 жыл бұрын
Bro. That was a good information. But the car and installation needs a golden grammy award for most outstanding by stander That mustangs in deep depression. Cable wires holding radiator hoses and shit together. Instrument cluster has even said good by to the car.Bro keep that water gauge installed its the only thing keeping the mustang,s heart beating :)

So Is it better to install it to the bottom hose to get accurate temperature?

@abdulhassan1107 Жыл бұрын
The adapter is sized by the diameter of the lip, so it's ok to go for one size up.. meaning SN95 uses 38mm hose so 40mm adapter can be selected..
@lupe85195 ай бұрын
On my truck the end to the radiator is 32 and the end to the engine is 38, so I ordered a 36 to put in the middle as it gets wider lol

Yes pretty shoddy work. Also do not use a ratchet and socket to tighten hose clamps. They are just to compress down the rubber hose properly, not to excessively clamp down. You can see the clamps and the hose were distorting from the excessive tightening. As long as the clamp isn't broke doing this it will work but it is not proper and may end up badly.

Why would you want the temp coming from the engine vs what the radiator is putting out? The engine temp will always be higher. Im curious to learn.
@viljamivatanen3323 жыл бұрын
That is because you want to know how "hot" your engine is running. Not how much your radiator is cooling the water. So The cauge will tell your real engine temp, not your cooled water temp.
@angus35403 жыл бұрын
most of the time its because of the problems that happen if the water gets too hot. As you can imagine, if the water boils (100.C) thats trouble for your car, whereas your engine reaching 100.C isnt that bad. Thats my take on it, Im not a mechanic

@@offroaddemon1991 No, you can't. That ground terminal on the hose coupling is to give the temp sensor a ground reference since that's how it works.

Good video how has it run is it accurate I saw this gauge on amazon and I said let se if I can find a video of the gauge and your video came up trying to put this in a 1995 Dodge Ram because the gauge on the truck stays on the middle of 210 and 260 with a/c on so I don’t know if the gauge on the truck Is not working or the truck is over heating but for redundancy I will buy this gauge what the aluminum connection so due a update of how is working

@@DriftDreams242 Another mistake. If you don't actually want an accurate temp then you can do that but you want to view the hot coolant temp that is coming out of the engine and that is through the top hose. You are viewing the temp of the coolant that is going into the engine which gives you no idea what temp the engine itself is running at. Either find a way to run a sender on the block or intake or just make the installation look a little nicer.
