Super helpful as I just got one for one of my large frame guns.

If you do the vltor freedom rail you have of mine I believe will be the only KZbin video to not only show the install but the rail itself

Love it! Thanks for adding this

Man you should consider timelasping you building out rifles. It’s nice just to watch your craft.

That could be fun. It would mostly me wandering around looking for the tool that I literally just set down 30 seconds ago and somehow disappeared. Maybe I'll be able to finally catch the wormhole on camera.

@@TrajectoryArmslol… imagine being able to capture that. That magical place where the tool or part disappeared too. I bet there’s where you’ll find the remote and that one sock.

How do you get the gas block after the rail is in?

Why do you not loctite the wedge screw? and are there actual torque # for both screws?
@TrajectoryArms Жыл бұрын
Mostly from a maintenance side, wedge bolts that have been loctited can be an absolute pain to remove. The mechanism design itself acts similar to a vinyl lock nut where there is friction throughout the bolts travel so threadlocker isnt needed. Compare that to a normal bolt, once the bolt has broken loose, there's very little friction to keep it from backing out the rest of the way so threadlocker makes it harder for the bolt to break free by adding a chemical bond that has to be overcome in addition to the mechanical friction from being torqued.

how durable is this method? Im debating on a triarc handguard or a daniel defense MFR

Can the rail rotate with out the set screws?
@TrajectoryArms Жыл бұрын
If you use the anti rotate pin it wont rotate but it can still drift forward. The set screws seat in the groove on the barrel nut and bite in slightly to prevent the rail from moving forward and rotating.

Thanks for the clarification. Reason I asked was because one of the set screws on my trilok rail is cross threaded.
@TrajectoryArms Жыл бұрын
@@Jo_Santi that happens. You will probably be fine with just the one. That angle is a bit weird as I pointed out in the video and you are the first to strip one out.

My upper doesn’t have a index pin hole. You say “Typically” it won’t move. But do I need to just have a hole drilled?
