I would suggest to fill those voids with a fiberglass mesh backer first instead of the bondo. Go get some aluminum roll flashing, it's cheap and easy to work with and can aid as a firm stiff-back to hold different shapes for the fiberglass mesh. Save the bondo for the final dial in fitment.

So I had actually gotten this to fill the holes. I have the bondo hair (fiberglass reinforced resin), regular body filler for the imperfections like cracks and things and glazing putty to fix the low spots. The regular fiber glass is definitely a good idea however I went this route for pure convenience. Even though all the time I'm saving is probably gonna be used and then some just with sanding lol.

@@FatalRPM I was kind of surprised you didn't try to do it like you did the rear bumper, cause that turned out really good.

Honstly, I didn't because of the lack of flashing and only having one glove left at the time, lol. I'm still new to laying up fiberglass so I wasn't too terribly confident in my ability in doing it one handed.

@@FatalRPM Haha, don't let's gloves stand in your way.

I made the mistake of heat wrapping my old bike exhaust without gloves, not realizing in had fiberglass in it. The aftermath of that is something I’m not willing to experience of my own free will ever again in my life 😂😂🤣
