First of all, I cannot state enough how well your quality, attention to detail, and soothing voice is. Plus, the camera work is very smooth! All combined, this makes for one of the best growing (😉) automotive KZbin channels on deck, hands down 🤜🏼🔥! To answer your main question, I genuinely prefer aluminum pedals! My F30 has rubber pedals just like your Veloster did, and I am planning on swapping those out for the M Performance aluminum pedals at some point.

Is the dead pedal just a place for you to rest your left foot so that you're more comfrotable when you're driving? Also, what was the auto trim removal kit for? And these look really nice!
@DriveAndBeDriven4 жыл бұрын
Correctamundo, Siddiqah!👍🏽 A dead pedal is essential the pedal off to the left that you just rest your foot on. It has no functioning/moving parts, hence the name "dead pedal". I'm so happy you were able to learn something new from this DIY! 😊 Also, at the bottom of the screen, I noted how the Auto Trim Removal Kit is optional in order to remove/apply the brake pedal cover (which is really difficult)! I guess I made it look easy in the video. Hahaha! 🤣 But, some people may struggle with the removal process, so I linked that kit just in case. Thanks again for your continued support! Does your foot slip off the pedal when it's wet ?
@samanthacharles32304 жыл бұрын
I read a comment cautioning on the pedal becoming slippery when your foot gets wet. I’ve noticed this video is a few days old have you had problems with that?
@DriveAndBeDriven4 жыл бұрын
Hey hey, Samantha! Yes! Aluminum pedals, in general, tend to be a bit more slippery than rubber pedals, but after weeks of testing (and lots of rain encounters), I have no MAJOR slippage to report. Excellent question, though! I appreciate your continued support, Samantha! :) *~DriveAndBeDriven* _"Fuel by Dreams, Driven by Passion"_

The brake pedal looks like it went on nice and secure, however the gas pedal seems like it would come loose at some point based on how easy it went on. Any long term issues with it?

Now when the soles of your shoes get wet the metal is slippery...caution !
@DriveAndBeDriven4 жыл бұрын
Oh yes! That's a GREAT point to make. Pedals in general are slippery when wet! But, yes... Aluminum pedals tend to be a bit more slippery than rubber pedals (which tend to hold a better grip). These particular ones that I installed aren't too bad thanks to the plasticy-rubber circular portions that protrude out from the surface, but I totally understand what you mean. The contact point is much smaller with these, so you definitely have to be cautious and keep that in mind! Again, thanks so much for stopping by and sharing your thoughts! I have more really AWESOME videos planned for the very near future. Stay tuned! *~DriveAndBeDriven* _"Fueled by dreams, driven by passion!"_
