If your car dose not have an auto dimming rear-view mirror do not doubt it to replace with an Auto dimming one.It's not expensive and I promise you it's worth it.
The auto-dimming rear view mirror offers greater safety when driving at night, as it stops you from being dazzled by traffic traveling behind. It consists of a mirror element and an electronic system that detects light from in front and behind by means of photo sensors. If the amount of light from behind is greater than that in front, the mirror is darkened. The surface of the mirror features a layer of electrolytes, similar to the LCD display of a mobile phone. The electrolytes consist of uniform crystals. When a voltage is applied, the crystals arrange themselves at a given angle, determining how much light is reflected. The strength of the voltage determines to what extent

This is a very good video actually, people are complaining because it's beyond their skill level. The video is here for people who can take up such DIY not for newbs, sorry but it had to be said. I would recommend using scotch locks instead of splicing the wires though.

I believe I have the same mirror as you. 7 pins to connect. I like this video but I need the connector for the rear of the mirror. Also, my mirror shows the outside temp. Does your have this function?

If accidently the irvm is left powered on then it will drain a lot of battery. Is there any solution so as to supply the power from acc?

Well some cars maybe. Yes of course you could find any wire (+12V) that maintain voltage with ACC but you should do wiring. Also these rear_view mirror's battery usage is neglectable and won't make any difference

There is nothing to worry about. There is a fuse in series with the wires.

2wire is needed, more wire is for other options like temperature or GPS or... You can find used one in ebay about 30$ I could not understand other sentences, sorry😓

Well I really don't know your car but these Mir ors are multipurpose and you can buy from eBay As I said before for operation of the basic mirror you need ground wire and 12V wire that you can use from roof light but if you purchase any mirror with more option then you may need extra wiring from dashboard like reverse parking trigger signal and....

I cringed when he used lighter on the plastic holder, definitely damaged the factory tint. Wiring is bad as well(It would be constantly drawing current even when engine is off), absolute piss poor job really. If you want to DIY, just tap ACC wire behind the stereo unit and use any ground wire. This prevents current draw when key is not inserted.

Well thanks for your comment. The holder was not plastic (It was metal). Any ACC Wire has Fuse so there is not any differences between mine and yours. Please keep in mind : Before doing any job with any car wires YOU SHOULD REMOVE NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL .
