Installing an Autoloc power window kit in my 1965 chevy impala.
Also I quick update of what I've done over the past few weeks on the impala project.
The install was pretty simple, only worry I had is if the motors would be strong enough to lift the windows on the old tracks and the motors had no problem doing that. now just hope they last !
If your interested in this kit check out ebay that where I got mine for around 160 bucks shipped to my door.
Hope this video helped anyone thinking about installing this kit in there car or truck thanks for watching and don't forget to LIKE, SUBSCRIBE AND HIT THAT NOTIFICATION BELL FOR MORE COOL VIDEOS.
THANKS FOR WATCHING !!!

The brackets seem to be made to mount on the motors on one particular side - looking at the screw points on both parts. You mention the back of the motor at 11min 40sec of the video and talk about why you're mounting it from the 'front' and only using the one screw. It is possible that you mounted the motors on the wrong side of the vehicle - and that if they'd been on the opposite sides then the 'back' would have been the front and you'd have used both screw holes with the bracket hardware. Is there any reason that they have to be installed on one side as opposed to the other?
@AllThingsCool
@AllThingsCool 4 жыл бұрын
No I would still need the motors to drop into the door channel to make room for the flat door panel

are you going to do Power Locks? I want to add them to work with the alarm but they want A absurd amount to add power locks I already got the actuators...not the door popper type just the locks like new cars...Its getting closer & closer only problem is the more you sit inside the car while your working on it the more ideas you come up with HA HA

I am so tempted to get this kit for my ranger but the biggest thing that worries me is the plastic gears, and the motors. I keep reading reviews that the motors end up not working after a while because or that the plastic gears that attach to the window crank nub eventually strip out... how have they been now that you've had them for 7 months?
@AllThingsCool

I felt the same way when I first installed the kit ( worried about the astic gears ) ended up getting a set for the rear windows to haven't had any issues yet. But my cars not a daily driver just weekends so that might help on wear and tear of the kit
