Great install, but that type 2 connector isn’t going to last long in the elements, why didn’t you install the socket lock that comes with it?

Ohme is the main charger I install, for the price of the unit it’s great value for money for those just wanting a basic charger. I don’t however like the manufactured cable, the JB makes things look messy in most cases.

Agreed, I don’t like that I can’t check the manufacturers connections if I’m honest and I don’t like the JB either,

I also fot ohme's expect we install a dB and break into the meter tails. I agree the wiska box makes them look abit naff. Better than alot of others to install though thats for sure

Ohme seem so popular. What are your thoughts on EO Mini Pro? Some people online criticise it but Hive have a version of it too which makes me think it must be ok. I want something very compact but tethered, Ohme relies on a dataplan subscription after year 3, I think it's around £25 a year currently.

Can you install this just using live neutral earth and disregard the ct cable?

You can but the charger will default into a safety mode and you will only be able to charge at 16A

Just out of interest do you just prefer not to fit that crappy gun holster that comes with them. I wasn’t a massive fan I think the back plate bracket could come with holes that you can slightly adjust and the Ct connection with the wago looked abit shoddy. The gun holster wasn’t the best either and your relying on the cables being good inside the charger as all you have is a bit of cable hanging off it.
