Hey guys, if you're having problems finding "\\RETROPIE" on your PC then activate SSH on your RetroPie. To do this: RetroPie Menu > Raspi-Config > "5 Interfacing Options" > "P2 SSH", "" > "" > "" > "" > In RetroPie Menu press the Start button on your controller > Select "Quit" > "Restart System" If you're still having problems finding "\\RETROPIE" after a full restart, try entering your RetroPie's IP rather than "\\RETROPIE". Hope this saves you a bit more time than i spent looking. :)

If you run into an issue with Etcher, I may have the solution for you... Etcher gave me an error stating that my image was corrupted, because the validation failed. I found out this is a known issue with Etcher. Thankfully there is a very simple workaround: Upon starting Etcher, go to the settings page (the cog in the top right corner), and disable the eject on success option.

How about Input Lag when using a Dual Shock 3 via Bluetooth? I notice it quite a lot and its off putting. Also the PlayStation emulation performance is VERY erratic for me. Played Ridge Racer Revolution and the game speed kept changing a LOT!

I just got my Pi 3 in the mail and right now Etcher is running on my Ubuntu laptop. I'm so excited to play around with this lil computer. I messed up on controller configuration and had to turn off my pi by unplugging it from the wall. The pi wont turn on when i connect the power anymore. Did i corrupt my sd card or is the pi fried all together?

Start the Pi separately and configure, for each controller, then after they are all configured you should be able to just leave them in, and the games will automatically read them as separate players.

I can add my NES, SNES and Atari 2600 ROM's, but it won't allow me to add the Genesis Roms. I get an error code -1407 (mac). I read somewhere earlier today, to put them in the Megadrive folder, but there isn't one listed. Before I wiped it and flashed it again with Etcher, it was showing two Genesis folder.

How did he find the file explorer? I went to find in my computer under Start button and did \\RETROPIE and nothing came up. It doesn't explain why we are typing \ etropie into some random field either. I have "favorites" but nothing that says "quickaccess"

+VeN If you open your 'Documents' or 'Pictures' or anything with that bar on the top that says something like "Libraries > Documents > RPi Folder" then click on it and type \\RETROPIE it should work.

If you are using Etcher, you actually don't even need to use 7Zip to extract the RetroPie image. Just launch Etcher and select the 'img.gz' file the RetroPie image comes in.

you don't need Rasbian to run retro pie its easy all i did was download the retropie image from the retropie site and download Etcher to flash the image to the micro sd card then put it in raspberry pie. It's pretty simple and for some roms like goldeneye on n64 and marvel vs capcom 2 on dreamcast you have to set those roms on the lowest settings to get them to run right.
