@@badgerprimeminister yes, is blocked and the space between the airbag and the steering wheel is the same for the entire circumference of the airbag I'm thinking of those 3 blocks that you removed from a steering wheel and put in the new one, could they be different on the new steering wheel?

@NinoSpinner check the ground connectors around the airbag base, there are multiple contact points here that are metal tappers like an old style morse code tapper. If you tighten one of the 4x nuts too tight it can twist these connectors

you guys ever run into any headlight issues or the turn signal and wiper handle not lighting up while doing this job? it appears I stabbed up one of the wires on the airbag harness pretty bad when I was trying to get the spring to unlock while trying to remove my airbag. just not sure what my airbag harness has to do with my left turn signal and DRL not working. thanks!
