Question: Would the glue down work on a wooden subfloor in old Victorian house? Do I need an underlay? Your workmanship is exquisite!
@uakflooring25 күн бұрын
As long as your subfloor is smooth it will work. No underlay needed

Is that a Harris-Tarkett? If not, would you mind sharing which prefinished engineered product this is? I would love to use it on an up coming project. Beautiful work and product!!!

The glue should be applied in parallel lines. Otherwise air is trapped in the grooves and the glue will not adhere in these areas

Herringbone (bâton Rompu) meet at a 90° angle, Chevron like here meet at a 45 ° angle (sometimes 60), it is different.

Little known fact outside the industry: The wear surface thickness and the total thickness are the main two things that determine the quality of a floor. Engineered flooring like this is actually HIGHER quality than it's solid counterpart. The engineered crap you pull off the shelf at lowe's has a 1mm wear surface, but that doesn't necessarily make what you see above anything short of high quality parquet :)

@JAHManeShaker well then perhaps they shouldn't do it ..... and present this .... when the people will learn that cheap alternatives are not good ??
