I bought a mk6 with mods. How can I flash it and remove all the stage stuff?
@BriGuy5032 жыл бұрын
I believe you have to find out what company software is loaded on your ecu before you can flash it with a new tune using the access port
@TechnicaX2 жыл бұрын
@@BriGuy503 ok thanks. I will bring it to a tune place and figure it out. I did get it passed emissions but I’m still curious if it is staged tuned. All I see it has is a air cooler and it’s fast. I’m a noob to all this

Just subscribed, Great Video. If you already have stage 1 from another Tuner, are you able to go to Cobb stage 0 and then load their stage 1???
@BriGuy5032 жыл бұрын
Thank you! Cobb strongly recommends loading over the stock tune. So if you have apr or something like that, that has been flashed I think you need to contact them or a dealer near by to reflash back to stock. Then load the the Cobb. I ran the Cobb stage 1 for a few months and it was ok but I'd suggest getting a Stratified tune its night and day difference. That can be loaded through the Cobb access tuner aswell.

So you can just hit uninstall and it'll literally just uninstall the tune?
@BriGuy503Ай бұрын
@@junktoyota Yes. You can change tunes on the fly. One to another and back to stock if you want.
@junktoyotaАй бұрын
@@BriGuy503 Can you change it while driving like you can with a diesel truck??
@BriGuy503Ай бұрын
@junktoyota No you have to be stopped and turn the vehicle off and on to change it

Hi so I installed the tune but after everything was installed my car kept turning off? I gave it a little gas and everything was okay. Is this normal? It’s also like 19degress here so not sure if that’s why

I'd guess it's just because it's cold af lol

Got bit of a weird question for you, but I have a 09 MK5 GTI I just bought. But it has a 2010 MK6 engine and ecu. Would this version of cobb work on that?
@BriGuy5033 жыл бұрын
I would think so, but I'm not exactly sure. I think it would depend on what ecu you have. You will probably want to figure out which ecu you have and go from there.
@MeuwMusic3 жыл бұрын
@@BriGuy503 I would asume he swapped the ECU. But I'll have to check the ECU, and maybe contact COBB support. Thank you for the help and great video!
@mohabzarzour78773 жыл бұрын
@@MeuwMusic hey, the 09 gti has the 2010 engine and ecu from factory, I can't guarantee that the Accessport will work on it but I'm 99.9% sure it does if the original engine and ecu are there.

Hello, so I just got my Cobb Accessport today for my 2012 Mk6 gti. I got the usdm version and when installing, the only maps that were available were all stage 1 and there were no stage 2 maps. Is that supposed to be normal? (I am very new to all this)
@BriGuy5033 жыл бұрын
Yea Cobb doesn't add a stage 2 tune on there any more. Not sure when they stopped but its been awhile I think. The stage 1 is better then stock but not much. I ended up getting a stage2 stratified tune. Cost me $150 and well worth thr money. Great improvement for sure
@oscaramador7003 жыл бұрын
@@BriGuy503 ok sounds good. And I was also looking at the stratified tune for my car. Think I’m going to pull the trigger and get it for my car this week. Just subscribed to your channel and can’t wait to see the mk6 build. 🔥
