It's a great video, Had to watch it twice. The first time I was enjoying the entertainment of you two and forgot to take notice of what you were doing. I'm really looking forward to watching season two for more great entertainment and of course, perfecting my colorbond installations.

Almost the same sort of roofing I need to put up in the next couple of days. And you guys have given me a lot of valuable info. Thanks. I'd like to point out one thing though. At a working level of around chest height, this is so easy. My roof is at 2 meters. Up and down the ladder is seriously going to stuff my old knees,

Thanks for the video... I really needed to learn about this as the roofers did not install a 2m length of barge capping on the side of a new house! The only part that needed some. Arrggghhhh....

Can crimped panels be re used? Attempt to rebuild an awning that blew off my home have been told the panels are crimped and now it’s scrap 😱

I'm planning a small skillion roof shed and am thinking H4 pine barge boards. The top of the H4 would be the same height as the tin. Re the flashing, could it go over just one corregation and 30mm down the side of the barge board? I ask because I'll see the roof and I'd prefer the flashing as small as possible. Thanks, you guys make great videos!!

Hey guys great vids could you help me to see how you attach flashing between metal roofing and tile (tile roofing in an L shape and metal roofing filling that void) thank you for your help and keep up the great work :)

Is this a comedy routine or an instructional video? 4/10 on both scores. So looks like you know what your doing. That’s great for….you. A 30 minute video with about 5 minutes on poorly explained techniques and how to’s. Well done.

Thanks guys, great video! Would you attach these to polycarbonate roofing, or is it best attaching the barge capping to the fascia/rafter from the side?
@metalroofing72104 жыл бұрын
Hi James. Absolutely, these barge cappings work just as well over a polycarbonate roof. The screws that you use to hold it down should go through the barge capping and through the top of the rib of the polycarbonate and into the timber batten. It can also be a good idea to use some foam infill strips between the barge capping and the polycarbonate to stop any wind driven rain from getting under. Daz

The banter distracts from the lessoon. Its not a clown show. Half of this video ive watched on 'mute'.

how do you stop long flashings creasing as you lift them up?
@metalroofing72105 жыл бұрын
Hi there it does take a little while before you learn the knack of picking up the larger flashings without bending them. It would best if you get someone to help you until you are confident enough to do it on your own
@richardchurchward44135 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the tips guys! Brilliant info... can I ask if you use waterproof rivets? Or do use bog standard aluminium blind rivets?

Richard Churchward just the standard blind rivets. 👍

Your videos really help, from installing metal fascia to roof sheets and now the barge caps. Planning to built my own shed. Just wondering for a 3x2 shed would it be worth having a fascia or just drop the sheets above
@metalroofing72104 жыл бұрын
Hi Patrick. Thanks for your feedback. It’s totally up to you as to whether you would like a fascia on your shed or not. Daz

The video is well done but the information and why this and that are done is a little on the light side. I realise the guys are not trainers but there is a lot more as to why certain small details are carried out.
