Very detailed video! I would get a spare connector for the tail light just to spare me some hassle when i want to revert it to the original condition.

Thanks Dimitris. Good idea. I've looked for one but I could not find online in the UK, and I could not be bothered to wait for one from CRFs Only as they are based in the US.

hey! nice video ! I am doing the same but I have trouble finding the good cable to connect. is it : yellow - black - red -> in -> black - greenyellow - green ? Tanks in advance

Hey! I've done this over a year ago, so in all honestly, I do not remember - sorry.

I’m very tempted to pull the frame and subframe and get a quote for a lighter one using the stock one as a jig. Probably save 20lbs there. Exhaust, frame, sub frame, stroker kit, warp 9s, and tail tidy probably save you 45 lbs. Easily bring this beast down to 285lbs wet. Only downside is frame will probably run you 4k

Great video once again Shem. do you have a video on connecting the front indicators
@Shem4 жыл бұрын
No, I'm affraid not. I connected the front ones last week without making a video about it. I'll see if I can perhaps make a post-fitting video that shows what's required to fit the front ones. If I go ahead with it, it will probably be couple of weeks before it is published (filming normally takes 4 to 8 hours plus 3 to 5 hours of editing afterwards).

@@Shem that would be great Shem. As i had said, i had fitted the tail tidy and rear indicators first. I then proceed to fit the front indicators the following night. The indicators worked ok when i put the emergincy flashers on but would not work when i went to turn left or right. I was wondering if i had used the wrong wires or was it because i had not fitted the relay flasher switch, so i took the front ones off and refitted the standard ones. i am really looking to you for help on this issue. Can you show me the link for the relay switch.

@@darseyno1520 Before fitting back the original indicators, did you try to connect the indicators to the other unssed wire? I mean there are three wires coming off the bike for each indicator, so number of ways you can connect them to is limited. If one pair did not work as you expected, have you tried others? This is the relay I bought: www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07W56R42H/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o05_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1

@@Shem Thanks Shem, i have ordered a relay. i think my mistake was that i thought that the green wire was the live but instead i think that it is the neutral.

@@Shem i found this on the web Shem. LEDs don't draw as much as bulbs, so if you add a pair, it flashes fast, if you add all 4 LEDs, it won't flash at all, not enough draw. You can add a constant rate flasher, but even then the indicator on the insturment pannel won't flash, just goes bright to dim. I did LEDs on mine, used the Constant rate flasher, which works, but then added a pair of resistors to the rear signal circuits to allow the indicator to actually flash properly in the cluster. I do miss the noise from the stock flasher relay(CR flasher is silent), helps remind me to cancel the flashers, tried adding 4 resistors, but still flashed too fast, so I gave up, would need to match the resistance of the stock bulbs. Now that the 2017 250L has LEDs, I'm hoping I can use the new OE relay to restore the audible function when used with LEDs.

Could you please forward me a link for the led indicator relay. TIA.

This is the link I purchased it from although I cannot guarantee that this is still the same item: www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07W56R42H/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Links often change this is why I'm hesitant to provide them, to avoid misleading someone in the future.

@@Rockmade Yes, with the LED indicators I purchased I had to a 12V LED Flasher Relay. This is the one I purchased: www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07W56R42H/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Quality video, very thorough. But it looks like its not worth it, too much hassle.

Thanks. I suppose that depends on how much time you have and what you want to do with the bike.
