Hey guys, John here with RealTruck.com. Today, I want to show you how to install the EGR Slimline Tape On Window Visors onto this 2014 Chevy Silverado.
All right guys, we've got everything laid out here. You can see this comes with everything you need to get these on the truck. Comes with your window visors and you can get these in a two or a four piece set. This is the four piece for this style of truck. Also, they come in this really nice, awesome looking smoke-black finish, which is going to match up to our bug shield really nice. And it's going to add some style to the truck and give it a little more character. Plus, these also are going to let us be able to let some fresh air in the truck while keeping the rain and snow and that kind of stuff out. So, you can see here we have our front rear set and our prep pads that we are going to need to wipe down the window area with so we can get these to stick. And also your instruction manual.
All right guys, the first thing we want to do in order to prep our surface to put our window visors on is to take the automotive surface cleaner that comes with your visors. And just take it out, and you just want to go along the surface area where you are going to be installing your visors. Now, it's okay if you go a little bit further than where you think you might want to go. This stuff isn't going to hurt the paint, but it's definitely going to help those stick better to the surface. Also, the one thing you've got to make sure of is that this metal on here is at least sixty-five degrees Fahrenheit, because that's going to allow that double-sided tape to really adhere and get a good connection to the metal of the truck and stay on like it's supposed to. So I'm going to wipe this down the rest of the way here and we are going to go ahead and wipe down the back one and get it ready to go as well.
Once we have everything prepped and ready to go, the next thing we are going to do is we are going to take our visors and we are going to actually take this red backing. We just want to peel back a couple inches on each end and what that's going to allow us to do is get this set up in place without it actually sticking to the truck so we can get it right where we want it before we peel this out of here. 866-554-0581 Free shipping for orders over $100!
