In this video, I'll show you how to install OEM Nissan Window Deflectors on your second gen Xterra or Frontier.
I ordered these on Amazon. They are Genuine Nissan Parts.

This project was a tad more involved than I expected. I opened the package and had no idea what to do and I had to read the instructions several times before I had a general idea of how it all went together.
I’m pretty sure I ran into every possible issue while installing these deflectors. So if you want a more complete picture of what to do and what to avoid, watch the whole video.
I started with the first deflector by following the instructions, but as I went along, I found easier and more efficient ways to install them. By the time I got to the 4th visor, I figured out the easiest and fastest method. I will outline it below. If you just want the quick and dirty method you can skip to 14:04, but do so at your own risk. I explain every mistake I made along the way, so it would be beneficial to watch the whole thing.
Installation instructions:
1. Cut out the large template pieces. There is one for back door and one for the front door. These are used to line the deflectors up with the corners of the doors. Don’t worry about the small template pieces.
2. Gently pull the weather stripping from the top of the door and leave about 2” on each side.
3. Clean the top of the door with soapy water and allow to dry.
4. While the door is drying, attach the window clips to the inside of the deflector using the plastic pop rivets. On the front deflectors, the clip labeled A goes on the front hole, B on the middle, C on the rear. On the back deflectors, there are two clips and they are identical. Make sure that the clips are pressed firmly against the deflector and press the rivet through BOTH the deflector and clip at the same time. If you don’t make it through them both, just press the rivet back out with your thumb and try again.
5. Clean the door again with the provided alcohol swab. This will make sure the the surface is clean and helps the adhesive bond better to the paint.
6. Line up the deflector onto the outside of the door and slide the clips into the window jam.
7. Use the template to verify the position of the deflector and adjust as needed.
8. Put the weather stripping back on the door and close the window. If the window doesn’t close all the way, make sure the weather stripping is seated properly.
9. Remove the adhesive backing from the deflector and press the deflector against the door and make sure there is good contact along the top. The instructions say it is best to do this if the weather is warm so that the adhesive cures properly.
