Why do you have to predrill the Polycarbonate Rooflight ?

It is because the topfix fasteners create a 2mm over sized hole for the fixing, but the hole needs to be bigger for the polycarbonate roof light. Holes should be pre-drilled with a 6mm oversized hole for sheet lengths up to 2m, otherwise 9mm oversized for anything over 2m. (This is for polycarbonate sheets only and not the fibre cement sheets).
