How to install EVERY Dawn of War Soulstorm Unification Mod Explained

The install process has changed slightly, as the campaign addon no longer has an installer, you must simply copy the contents of the campaign addon into your Dawn of War Soulstorm folder to complete the installation.

I think this video is already out of date. The Campaign addon now downloads a zip folder with a bunch of stuff inside it rather than an exe?

Yeah they have changed it slightly, i dont think there is an installer for 7.3. Now just extract the contents of the zip folder into the dawn of war soulstorm folder

Hello there, I followed this... BUT on the campaign I have no objective at all... like I annihilated the enemy team forces but I can't WIN or gain VICTORY, it just stuck... any idea what is going on? I have meddle with the campaign configurator but nothing happens.

How about graphic setting, i want it looking better but it crash and slow, my spec is good enough, can u show me ur setting ?

I turn off persistent bodies and scarring as this can cause lag. I also turn unit occlusion off. I also turn off random sounds as this can cause the game to crash when playing the enemy stronghold missions. Beyond that, everything else is set to max settings. I hope this helps!

If you download the unification campaign addon, you will find a copy of the latest version of the mod manager located in that folder, you can also choose to install it when installing the unification mod by itself. Nice video ! And i see that you can download other mods through the mod manager, so how to do it ? For example, if i want to play with both unification and redux mod, i need to merge them ? And if i want to play the campaign with the mod ?

Thank you 😊 I'm afraid I cannot help you with other mods in this regard. My only experience is with the mods in this video. That being said, I know the mod merging aspect was designed solely for adding additional races to the game and merging mods can cause the mods to break. I imagine you can ask around in the unification discord to see what other mods work with unification as well as find various guides to install them through those who have more experience. Discord link is in video description, I hope this helps.

Sometimes the files you download get corrupted in transit. You can always try a fresh install with the latest versions of the mods and base game. If that doesn't work and you're following all the installation steps properly, I would suggest asking for help from the mod makers in their discord.

After installing the latest version of this mods i was excited to try that tau farsight enclave faction i was dissapointed i was expecting will equip since its commander farsight famous tau but i only have this units some guevesa human units and a female human hero some light vehicle and a titan hunter and some tau light scouts where my chaos opponents has daemon prince, hellbrutes, khornite titans, and other abomination scary units 😢

You need to have the latest update of dawn of war soulstorm, using older versions could cause issues

@@danielszakacs6787 oh, I would have presumed that you could update the DVD to the latest version and they would be identical version numbers. How strange. I have been told it works with with the DVD and if you can't update it any further try it on your DVD version 1.2. If that causes issues, I would suggest asking in the discord (link in video description) about how you can patch your DVD copy up to version 1.3.3. I imagine they have a section in the FAQ about this sort of thing.

Try right clicking on the mod manager and running it with administrator. Otherwise, check the link in the description and take a look through the FAQ in the mod discord. I imagine you can find a solution there if it doesn't work.

everything works fine until it gets to the point where it's supposed to extract the files, when it just sits there. Is there something I'm doing wrong?

Do you mean the step from 2:19 to 2:32? Like once you start the install it doesn't progress? The install can time quite a lot of time depending on your PC, have you left it for an extensive period of time to see if it starts to progress? I sped up the install with editing, it took my PC about 10 minutes and my hardware is quite decent. It could be a longer process if you're working with an older PC. Also make sure you have enough room on your PC for the install, this modpack is HUGE! It's nearly 5 times the size of the game itself.

@VitriolExhaust yes. I ended up just manually extracting and doing it myself, but the installer wouldn't extract the files. I tried everything, including a fresh install of the game.

Hi, is this mod really, like really works for all of you? I wonder if I'm the only one who thinks that this Mod break the game and patches plus fixes are required. Wonder if creators would just run through their mod and see if there's anything they can do to prevent people from having trouble playing it and preserve their creation to be played by another generations of players because DoW Soulstorm will not die for several hundreds of years.

I think unfortunately the base game of DoW Soulstorm on steam has some game breaking crash bugs. One thing that you can do to have smoother gameplay is turn off round sounds; they cause crashes.
