Joey..let me know you my case, my tablet was frozen or stuck in recovery mode and did everything from wiping data and clear cache to everything it was stuck there and wont even turn off until the battery was drained. so i decided to download custom os using this tutorial and was waiting for "pass" or "failed" for over an hour and feels something is wrong so i shut down my computer. waiting for response would eventually drained the battery and waiting will be useless. i did not recharge the tablet up to this moment coz i still have no idea what to do. it will be on or running for hours if i recharged it. any other ideas or tips are welcome, thanks.

@@stephenmagat5897 First, never flash custom OS with Odin. Go to SamMobile.Com look up your device name (model number) and stock firmware for your device and country. then download it. Unzip the file, then use Odin with this method. Only use Odin for stock samsung wirmware or flash custom recovery(for first time like TWRP) As long you are able to be in download mode (phone) it can be fixed. So go to SamMobile look up your device name and android version for your country. Download it and extract the files use Odin (read very good,take your time) Goodluck

Now what you can do is just goto the sammobile.com and search for your mobile version to download its official firmware and install it by using odin. This will fix your issues and remember you have not to touch your device or cable while installing the firmware.

Installing the firmware will erase you device data only. It include your gallery’s photos, songs, apps which installed only in your device memory. But for chrome your bookmark can be restore using gmail id.

i read in a greek forum of other dudes using the german rom. I tried the first one (out of two) and had a fail. Now trying the second one and seems to be doing the trick (im in middle of installing as im typing this). I'll update you if it works. At least we know your video has the instuctions properly displayed as i followed exactly and got it working. Note: your Kies link (actually the download link in the site) didnt work so i found it in the greek version of the same site. Maybe check it yourself as it may be a problem on my side.

+Nick Infelise are you downloading the rom from sammobile.com? actually download speed is depend on server. if you are downloading from sammobile then i don't think that samsung provide this much of speed. anyway if you are not getting good speed then try to download somewhere else.
