What would you recommend using on hollow walls, i would like put acoustic wall panels in my daughters room and then put shelves up. So what would you recommend to safely put up the shelves on hollow walls?

When you say hollow, do you mean a stud frame with plaster board on ??

Yes is similar to plasterboard, every wall in the house has a cavity between them it's not actual plasterboard I don't know what it's made from.

Getting them on the stud frames wouldn't work so it's just a basic thin wall covering then a nothing behind it then an other wall covering for the next part of the house.

Great video - thanks. If the vertical wall panel slats are mounted to battens, which in turn are screwed into the wall studs behind the drywall, is there any reason that the shelf shouldn't be screwed into the wall panel slats?

I wouldn't recommend fixing the shelves into the slates because they are only pinned/tacked to the backing foam which are not made to hold additional weight, that why you'd fix the shelves though the wall panels and into ether the stud behind or the solid wall

With this can you put a dart board on it or will it be to heavy?

Should be able to yes! Just make sure that you've got long enough screws or nails to be able to go through the wall panels, the felt backing and securely into your walls. Thanks

I have a drywall which is made just of wood on which I plan to put the slat walls and eventually the shelves. Do you recommend following the same process as the video or should I be more wary of the weight bearing capacity of the shelves on a drywall?

Yes of course take into account your weight on the shelves, you may have to install heavier brackets on the wall in order to take any excess weight

Will the panels be able to be removed following this method?

Yes, just need to unscrew them and they should come off okay

Was that into a brick wall? What wall plugs would you recommend for plaster?

Yes it was into plaster and brickwork, you can just use normal rawl plugs

The screws iv found are 4.2mm x 70mm are these the correct ones?

Yes they should be okay, just make sure they can go through the felt and into your wall, cheers
