Thanks man, this actually is the best wiring video for the fog lights I've seen, especially without a bunch of crazy mods to the wires

Hey cool video very helpful, I have a question about the fuse tap, why did you use two 15amp fuses? A1auto has a similar video and they also tapped into 37, but they used 7.5 amp for the main and 5amp for the secondary. I’m new to this so I’m not sure if they’re basically the same thing, or if it’s best to just do 15amp and 15amp. In their video it was an 06-08 civic, I’m not sure if the Si has different wiring

wish you'd of shown how you cut the bumper spots for the lights. I cut mine out but the lights don't fit flush and its driving me nuts - i initially did not wire them so they're just "dummy lights" for now, but I was waiting for new headlights- which I now have and will be wiring these up when I put the new headlight lenses / bulbs in. I hope I can make them work as you did.

I didn’t realize it either! I’m glad you said something. I looked it up and the forums said 2006 doesn’t have the traction control. You could tuck it behind the dash where it is easy to get to for either of them and have them accessible if you need either! I’m sorry I can’t help more!

It has been holding up extremely well! Definitely one of the best things I have done to the car. The only thing I have done was I switched out the bulbs. I changed them to led, so they would be brighter. Definitely worth the money!

@@madcrew9191 My 2009 honda civic dx vp came with manual mirrors and I was wondering if it is possible to install power side mirrors
@madcrew91913 жыл бұрын
That’s a great question, but I’m not to sure. I imagine you can. It might take a harness from an si or ex to run to the mirror as well as the mirrors. It may take a lot of time and money to do. 😬

I've seen them on ebay
@derrickmatthews23763 жыл бұрын
I hooked up everything just like the video and it dident work for me any reasons why?
@madcrew91913 жыл бұрын
Did you get the split fuse? If so, I would check the connection you wired together, the ground you put on, and the live wire first. Check also if the fuse is in the right spot in the fuse box and the clips that go into the light housing are all the way in. Those places are the best places to start to find the problem. I wish you luck!
I bought these fog lights, but I did have to bend the brackets a little for them to line up with the holes.

What happens to the VSA?? Do you no longer have that ?
@madcrew91913 жыл бұрын
The VSA stays the same. I haven’t had any lights come on the dash for it. They take their power from the clock, so there isn’t a problem with the system. If anything shows up I will definitely post about it!

I realized that my year (2006) is the only one without a VSA. If you want to run the dog light you’ll have to tuck the other button under the dash where you can’t see it, but can still use it. I never had to worry about it. 😅

@@madcrew9191 dang it. Ok thank you for the reply. I just got an 09 EX sedan 😩. Always wanted an SI but I wanna make it static. Any tips?
@madcrew91912 жыл бұрын
On making it static? I would recommend researching the wheel fitment you want A LOT! 😂 try to go to car shows and ask their fitment. Pictures sometimes doesn’t do it justice. I would say too, know what you are getting into. Tires wear out faster and it sounds like you are breaking your fenders over every bump. 😅
@user-bp4qq7tt1u2 жыл бұрын
@@madcrew9191 alright I'll definitely research extensively and see some fittments in person before diving in. My homie has a slammed Mazda that really got me into it. So I know a little bit of the experience but not a lot lol thanks for the reply.
@madcrew91912 жыл бұрын
Slammed is nice depending on what you do. Bags would be the best way to go, but static is cheaper! Just get a good set of Coil overs, wheels, some camber arms to tuck it, and finally a fender roller and you’ll be set on a good fitment! 😄
