I never installed this one, but I have another one inside the garage and everytime it gets a little cold, my garage will not repond to the hand fob at all. I have to walk inside and push down on the pad and it closes the door everytime. It must be hardwired?

You have to use a remote now to connect it with your car and then connect it back to the garage. There’s videos on how to connect it to your car! It’s better when it’s a visual example.

Just got a brand new keypad. When I press the * and # together in step 1 it doesn't blink. Lights just stay on.

another tip...if you are replacing your keypad you may have to erase the code on your garage door opener even if you are using the same code. Instructions for erasing it are on the opener near the learn button...(I wish my brain had a learn button!!)
