@michaelvanalphen2392 Well that is understandable. You can manage your database users using phpMyAdmin. Now, in order to connect to phpMyAdmin for the first time, it can be tricky. You should probably use root as username and an empty password, but don't use those for Joomla. You should create another user...

I'm not aware of multiple Wamp implementations, but I used the one on SourceForge. The steps taken in this video should work well in any implementation of Wamp.

When creating a user in PHPmyAdmin, say "joomla" as you did, should the joomla user have all the privilages as a super user, or ...?

That is a very good question. I am accustomed to granting all privileges, but I cannot tell you for sure that this is mandatory. You should definitely allow the Joomla DB user to create, alter and drop tables, among the obvious select, insert, update and delete rights. The others are not very common.

@michaelvanalphen2392 Hi Michael! If you're installing on your computer with WAMP, you can just use "localhost" or 127.0.0.1. If you're installing on a server, you would have to use the server's IP.
