Why does my AirPlay not work like it connects and the audio play right but the display is just black and says 00:00

Some App has some restrictions that don't allow mirroring to other devices.

I am installing this screen tomorrow, the Linux one. I have a couple questions. 1, do i have to install the accessory cable even if i dont want a camera? 2, what wires do i run to the glove box? do i have to do that? i’m having worries about it.
