Can i put the zbar over the siding or would i have to replace siding and wall to install?

Excellent Video! I have an old trailer we want to remodel inside and out but I had no idea how to do this. Especially the skirting. Is there a video that addresses the corners?
@constructionideas5 жыл бұрын
I don't think I have any more videos on this, even though I was planning on making a few more. What exactly do you need help with about the corners?
@rogerchavez195 жыл бұрын
@@constructionideas I just need to know how to do them and keep the water out.
@constructionideas5 жыл бұрын
I understand and you might need to install some type of waterproof perimeter out of pressure treated lumber, concrete or concrete blocks to prevent water from going under the mobile home. I don't have a video on that either, sorry.

if I have metal siding can I replace it with the plywood siding t-1-11?
@constructionideas7 жыл бұрын
I would think that you could if it's a wood framed building. If you want, send me a few pictures of your home for more information and you can get our email address at the website.

i want to use this idea for my deck. It's cantilevered, so there is nothing to attached the lattice panels to like they show you for a porch. I can attach a nailer along the top. So you are saying to sink stakes in the ground with a connecting board to nail the lattice panel to? Is that going to hold if I hit it with the lawn mower? Pressure treated is supposed to go for only about 5 years before it disintigrates. Any ideas???? And thank you.

The stakes will last longer if there isn't much moisture in the ground, but you can always pour concrete piers or a curb around the mobile home or use metal stakes if you're looking for more strength. If this doesn't make sense I will make a video, let me know either way.

I got it and thanks.

If you're referring to using metal stakes, simply replace the wood stakes in the video with metal ones and try to keep the wood off the ground at least an inch. If you're referring to the curb, let me know and I will make a video.

Where does one find your email address ? I am currently doing some termite damage repairs on a 2000 cavco 32x56 and have part of siding and skirting etc removed to access everything and would like to send you some photo's and see what you think as I have some tricky situations here as far as how to best proceed.

You can go to our website and there is usually a link in the description of the video area to it. Don't forget to check out some of these playlists about building repairs and siding that might be helpful also. So, the whole bottom rail is screwed to wooden stakes set directly in the dirt ? Where is the foundation ? After a few good rains those wooden stakes would come loose and so would the bottom rail. Sorry, but this is a substandard design.
@constructionideas7 жыл бұрын
Keep in mind that these are only suggestions and if you live in an area where wood stakes loosen in the ground after it rains then you will need to find another alternative.
