How To Install Radio in Toyota Rav4 Stereo Replacement 2013 to 2018

A complete DIY guide to how to replace your stereo in the Toyota Rav4. This suits all models from 2013 to 2018, there is a slight different in mounting the stereo when you have a factory navigation but the mounting kits you can get the the Rav4 suit the factory located bolts with no problems very self explanatory. The removal is the same process.
We have options for a variety of stereos but most are the same. We used the Kenwood series as this has programmable steering wheel control interfaces built in so you don't have to buy these seperate saving yo money and allows the customisation.

Very good video. I've been wanting to rip the stock head unit out of my GXL since the bluetooth wont pair up to late model devices. Love this Kenwood unit, but not sure I can live without a rotary knob or tactile volume controls at least.

Hi. Thanks for the great video and prompt service in despatching my head unit. All went smoothly, but I have one issue. The reverse camera works when I select it from the "cam" button on the display, but it doesn't automatically display when reverse is selected. There was a purple (from memory) wire at the back of the unit marked reverse camera, but I was just a wire and I had no idea where it was meant to attach. Any guidance much appreciated.

I have the 2013 rav4 limited edition. The radio has the JBL amp. Touch screen so the AC and other connections go through the radio. Will this work on it?

Looks like a right-hand drive XLE? There is a center console light that is illuminated by one LED bulb - uses a light pipe under the center console. Still wondering about the voltage and capability to implement brighter LED or a LED strip.

Hey guys, wonderful video! I'm seriously thinking about purchasing this. The thing is that my car is the Hybrid version of the RAV4. The stock unit shows information such as fuel consumption, battery charging levers, various statistics etc. I'm guessing that the Kenwood aftermarket unit that you suggest, does not come with this kind of support right? So I'm basically going to lose this functionality?

Great video. Thank you for already saving me $500.00 I have had my 2016 RAV4 for 2 weeks. I am very disappointed with the Navigation so I stopped in at a local Audio Shop here in the United States. They tried selling me a system that using 3 or 4 different parts however I didn’t feel comfortable with their “ Hurry, hurry, BUY NOW “ sales pitch and left. With the Kenwood that you used ( DDX918WS ) does that retain all of the Steering Wheel Controls ? What about Sirius XM Radio ? I have the Backup Cam but can I add the forward Camera to it? Where I live near Chicago, IL. parking is extremely scarce and very tight. I wish you were here in the states so I could just bring it to you. Thanks in advance

Aye 2016 Rav4 gang, dunno what trim you got but I upgraded the stock plastic hub caps to some black ones, I found a set of 4 on Amazon for $65, they are the same exact design but black. Also I blacked the back badges. Also my car is grey with 5% tint and now it just looks amazing.

You need to check the wiring for those things, and ensure you have the USB adaptor.

The gauges, like gas hand. Rpm, the mph hand. And others. Do they still work with another radio

Yes they do suggest taking it back to the shop that did your installation and check this, it doesn't effect those things.

yes with the fitting kit but different stereos require different SW control adapters this works for Pioneer and Kenwood.
