Thanks for doing quality videos about relatively simple things, I think you are helping people get comfortable with doing easy jobs and that makes them more willing to do harder jobs and that makes them life long riders, well done.

This is a bit old so idk if i'll get an answer for that, but when i tighten the right axle nut the chain spacer often will spin out of its groove, and its a real pain in the ass. I had it all straightened up but after a wood ride i gotta do it all again, any tips for that ?

I see you have multiple sets of wheels. This is something I am highly interested in. Looking the have a straight up off road set and a 50/50 set. Got any advice on where to look? Also, I just bought an XR 2 weeks ago and your videos are super helpful in getting me up to speed on this new machine of mine. Keep up the good work and thanks!

I got mine off of ebay for like $250 for the front and $300 for the rear + shipping for each. However, as I've had my XR over the past year and some time I've been on numerous facebook pages which have XR's being parted out for all sorts of reasons. I've commonly seen sets sell for $500 and you could pick them up locally without shipping charges. I'd look there often, but unfortunately part outs are more common in the summer it appears as more people ride then and with that comes stuff being wrecked or broken. Now here's my reason to have two sets of wheels: My XR is my daily driver and my weekend warrior. I previously tried running TKC80's and they did great on the street and dirt/mud but I'd be lucky to get 3-4k out of the rear. I figured at the rate I'm replacing my tire it'd be more cost efficient to buy a second set. Also, I could be a tad more in control with the right kind of tire where it belongs- Having knobs on the street just means less traction. While I'm at it: Dirt Set: Run Pirelli MT21 on the front & Dunlop D606 on the rear. Street Set for 50/50: Look into Shinko 705's. I've just recently installed them so no word on life span, but they worked in snow, sleet, dirt, small amounts of mud, and gravel... fairly cheap tire that also is quiet on the street and performs well in corners! Thanks for watching!

is long hard shaft the technical name, or is that the johnson rod...nice video though
@one_terrabike31512 жыл бұрын
On the 94'-08' models the manual refers to it as the long hard shaft. The newer years go by Johnson rod. Thanks for bringing that up 😂. But glad it helped!

Do a wheelie Tutorial or big bore kit

I definitely already have a big bore kit but perhaps when I get a spare engine that's burning oil I'll make a video showing that as well as the 2nd and 5th gear mod 😁
