Got these for my 2023 Speed Twin - love the raw sound and the bike's performance has improved. BUT, the install was not this basic because the tips didn't slide on with this ease. I really had to force them, and the right side tip is still not all the way on, even after I heated the component too 400 to allow the tip to expand in diameter.

I couldn’t get the right side on my Thruxton RS either. It was frustrating, to say the least.

Sorry that you're running into these issues - we expand each one of these with a tube expander so we're scratching our heads with this issue. Can you give us a call at 877-999-2748 and we'll get this rectified immediately. Thanks

I did this on my 23 speedtwin. Right side just did not fit!

My right side wouldn't go on either (thruxton rs) seems to be a common issue.

@@britishcustomshaven’t called yet (obviously) but wondering if you figured out and fixed the issue?? Seems others have run across the same issue.

Just installed mine, 2023 Speed Twin 1200, super quick. Tips slid on with ease unlike what some other comments suggest, could be an improvement on the production side. They look and sound great!

Thanks for the feedback! We've tested on three different year models and we've found that the QC on the OEM headers are a little off on each of the years, where they're not perfectly round. With those 3 measurements, we've averaged it out for gauging so your feedback really helps!

@@britishcustoms Do these work if my bike has 'tec' headers paired w/ stock silencers? Based on your video it looks like these tips bolt onto the stock exhaust (using the cat, which I have in a box), but I'm curious if these could work as my bike sits now. Thanks!

This is the 1st mod I'm doing... I did the same to my 2020 bobber. just removed the mufflers. sounds great. Whoever is talking negative doesn't know jack

Do NOT buy these without reading the comments first. Fit issues reported by many here and other forums.

If I get these tips. Will the kit come with those spacers? Or will that be a separate kit?
@britishcustoms7 ай бұрын
Comes with everything you need to install! no missing components where it'd prevent you from installing.

What would you consider a good setup for sound?

@@britishcustoms myself mate ,I ride a BMW R18 for the last 3 + years, but to answer your question , let's face it, everyone knows ,with experience, getting rid of any half decent muffler , and swapping it out for that end piece that come off a vacuum cleaner, ain't going to sound ballsy and deep. If just going to be loud as shit and annoying. Done it a many times before and regretted it , massively. Makes any nice sounding bike sound like shit, the tacky way.

Totally get it. Also, this setup is only recommended with the catalytic converter so it may sound different than what you may think. It might be a straight pipe solution with zero baffling but on these Liquid Cooled Triumphs, there’s a cat in between the tips and the engine. It doesn’t have the obnoxious air compressor sound if that’s what you’re thinking!

@@britishcustoms fair call mate. .I did see this mod done in Australia to a Bonnie 1200, and it did sound very harsh. , but hey , if it works ,it's a cheap mod, but iam a fan of mufflers. They just sound better . After a few hours ,it does get annoying on the freeway
@AndyBondo11 ай бұрын
Let's face it, after 6 months people telling ya, where are ya mufflers, it will be time for another pipe mod. It's one of them sorts of mods that wears thin fast, especially if ya into the classic ,but classy vibe of moto appeal. It just looks empty .
