How To Install Spectrum Internet With The Spectrum Internet Self Installation Kit

This video shows you how to install Internet in your home using the spectrum Internet, self installation kit. You’re welcome. I had to do the same thing. I don’t know why the online version didn’t work, but I tried it for two days, and never got it to work. The phone number works instantly. Hope other people find this and it helps them as well.

All my problems here in Idaho with Spectrum has to do with a system that is over 50 years old. Having my residential service line replaced solved ALL my problems with dropped signal. However, every time it rains my band width drops from 250mbs to less than 10mbs. Every time a tech comes out, they want to blame problems on my in house wifi. They don't know that I have brand new equipment, modem, nest router, laptop. My ethernet connection bandwidth is within 10% of my wifi. I'm convinced technicians don't like climbing ladders. Someone needs to make a video on how to successfully make Spectrum address THEIR system deficiencies.

Have you found a way to disable band steering? Every time I autoconnect to wifi using S23U, shows wifi 6. I have to turn off wifi then back on connect to wifi 6e. I tried having mobile data off and enable wifi safe mode through developer mode.

So I’m curious because when I set mine up, it is saying *connection issue* after the 20min clock expires on the app and I don’t want a technician to come to or inside my home. I also got a coax tool to check the signal so I checked the coax cable coming directly from the breaker box and it said there was signal so I plugged everything in there in the garage and still same issue. Any suggestions?

@@armandomartinez359 I ended up calling the provider and they sent out a technician for free because I had attempted to set it up but there was ultimately nothing I could do. The problem was that the outlets that I was plugging them into needed activated if that makes sense

Sometimes when you get a new house or new WiFi provider the outlets are either shut off or not compatible with the new router. That’s what I was told

Please tell me the exact steps, your video about that isn’t very clear. 2. This is more IMPORTANT! I don’t know if my battery is charging!! I got the battery off the bike and connected the charger to it, I don’t see anything that indicates me that it is charging. You go to your local spectrum store and you can trade your spectrum router and motem in for free or you can buy them.

There should be a coaxial cable coming into your house from outside if you’ve had cable before. In my case, there was a spectrum coaxial cable outside of the building, and then I had frontier fiberoptic Internet with a coaxial cable going into the building, so I unplugged it from the frontier box on the outside of my house and plugged it into the Spectrum connection on the outside of the house, and then plugged the spectrum internet equipment to it on the inside of the house.

Maybe. At my house, there is a unit on the outside that the wire going into the house is connected to. It’s very likely that the installer will hook up your wire on the outside, so all you need to do is plug in the wire that’s already inside your house that you used for your previous cable.

​@@Sara-zu1hxusually coaxal cable line installed by spectrum via wall coaxal outlet or if the cable line is outside of home, if you don't have either set up by spectrum call them so they can install it for you so you can connect to your internet if you have cable TV through spectrum it's the same outlet just connect the splice connector connect one coaxal to the TV box and the other coaxal cable to the internet modem

Push reset button if not unplug the unit for 10 seconds then plug back in if it turns red again then call the number on the back of instruction booklet automated system ask for your acount# they will send the signal to your router to get it activated
