Hi DIYGUY, just fitted a set of 3 downlights into my bathroom (IP Rated of course) to replace my old ceiling rose. Had a slight bit of figuring out to do when I got to the rose and discovered 5 cables coming out of it. Worked out they were the shaver socket feed and the extractor fan. Couldn’t have done it without your video, saved myself a lot of money and the bathroom looks much better. Thankyou mate 👍🏼

Very detailed video I am looking to install some spotlights in my room but i dont have access to the loft space above as its been converted and covered in flooring. Is there a way to do this without having access from above? I guess you could fish the wires through the holes? Might be a-bit tricky but its easier than removing flooring?

Thank you. I watched your other video (and a few others too) on ring vs radial. How do you know which you have? And why don't you get the overloading possibility of the cable with radial? Especially if you can string no end of sockets end on end. Comments off on that video, I guess it was too busy!

Thanks so much for this. I have a question: why connect the earth in the cable from the first light to the other earths that were in the ceiling rose if it’s not actually connected to the lights? And why do the downlights not have earth terminals? If something goes wrong is there not the danger that the light fittings could become live with no Earth to provide protection?

Not an expert, but I daisy chained eight LED spotlights in my bathroom 11'x5' and it's perfectly bright. Having said that, do consider if you want Warm white or Icy/Cool white as I used icy/cool white for the bathroom but warm white for spots under my kitchen wall cabinets where a cosier feeling is appreciated.
