How to install the Add004 patch into Ikeman Go (2021)

Now I finally understand why so few of the classic screenpacks have been converted to Ikemen. Everyone who knows what they're doing are using Add004 instead. Something worth mentioning is that, as of now, the newest version of Add004 predates the newest version of Ikemen GO, so it isn't 100% compatible as it was made with an older build of Ikemen GO in mind. It works, but some of the options in the menu are unavailable and crash the game. So for anyone using this tutorial now and in the near future: Check the version of Ikemen that is mentioned in the first line of Add004's text file (the one you copy the stuff from). If it mentions an older version, consider rolling back to that one or be aware that some things will be broken. But I'm sure someone more savvy can edit the system.def and other files to make it fully compatible. I'll give it a look at it later myself.

It only works in the previous ikemen version, that is, in IKEMEN Go v0.98.1

the add004 patched worked successfully however when I go to the Option menu and go to Zoom active it crashes and engine closes. Can you help me on this one please?

You mean like a slow ease in/ease out during the zoom similar to Ikeman? Don't know and I don't think its possible on Mugen. It isn't open source after all.

Okay so.. I put add004 into my Ikemen but I have a screenpack and it doesn’t pick it up, is there a way to fix it? I really want to use my screenpack with add004 and if it helps, I use the screenpack of The Boss mugen the only difference is that I converted it to Ikemen and now I want to have the extra features of add004

Its a problem on the creator of add004 not updating the addon to be compatible with the latest Ikemen Go versions. You just have to wait until he updates it.

So I patched all of my...80% of my Mugen roster with the Mugen version, would I absolutely HAVE to restore all of them if I wantd to convert/switch to Ikemen with the ADD004...

No I don't think so. You're patched Mugen characters should work fine in Ikeman. I believe Ikeman reads from the same data to invoke assists

@@HobbesKarate I am an idiot...lol Everything I want to do conflicts in some way shape or form. With the patch, it works fine for the most part..without, duplicates. Lol At most, I'd prefer to figure out how to make it compatible with other screenpacks since it seems to stop things from working properly..

@@HobbesKarate that'll be great to try.. I was going to start seeing about Orochi's Tag system in a fresh ikemen copy so it might help me decide which I prefer if I can get everything working properly.
