I traced out a line 3" below the bumper then trimmed it off with a vibrating trim saw. Little bit of final sanding the edge and it turned out pretty well.

I did this to my 2020 F-350 and today I'm ordering this valance for my 2022 that I just received on 4/11/22. I am also adding a Steelcraft 50-1380C Brush Guard and a Curt 31078 front hitch receiver. The Tremor valance fits both the brush guard and hitch, but I've never installed all three together. I'm looking forward to no cutting and a clean look. Yes, I'll loose 2mpg due to the aerodynamic drag at freeway speeds, but that's the price I pay for putting my trucks to work. A lift isn't needed if you have the snowplow springs, but I highly recommend parking on a tarp so nothing gets lost. Even a big guy like me can easily get under here and do this job. While I'm at it I'll install my Tremor grill and emblem and LED bulbs. I will have to program my (Platinum) LED fog lights using FORSCAN.

For those of you commenting about why people would swap it. I did it for approach angle offroad. When your driving down a rutted out dirt road, it’s a huge deal having the extra front clearance. Not for everyone but for people doing a lot of back country driving, it can be a huge benefit over the stock one.

I also added the Tremor valance to my 2021 F350 because I live in northeast Wisconsin and I saw the stock valance as possibly being trashed if I bump into some frozen snow that we get up here and I prefer the look so much.

Thanks A-Rod. I have been thinking about doing this mod on my 2020. I checked my FordPass Rewards balance and found out i have enough to get one free so went to my dealer today and had them order it. Worst case if the gas mileage sucks or I want to go back I can easily do that. I'll give it a shot but I think it definitely looks better with the smaller one. Another benefit is that it is easier to get under the front of the truck for visual inspections or greasing the front joints.

Thanks for making this video! I just installed a Bilstein 5100 dual stabilizer and realized how ugly the front end was with that stock valance on my F250 Platinum. I can't see the stabilizer at all, and the stock valance is simply UGLY. Just ordered this Tremor valance today and will install, looks super simple!

Just added a new valance. I added the 2 wheel drive instead of the Tremor. My 2020 F250 with an 8" lift looks much better with the 2 wheel drive valance. The Tremor was just a little too small plus the 2 wheel drive valance is cheaper and the original was just way too big. Thanks again for the tips!

My Father in law bought a new 2008 Chevy 1500 4x4 long time ago. Went out to his mining claims and mentioned how his scrapes off road. I recommended a leveling kit and to remove the big and low front valance altogether and it was getting destroyed and ragged anyway. Today he has leveling spacers and the same ragged valence robbing him of ground clearance. Sometimes the solution is just very simple. Those spacer he put on are Janky. I replaced his struts a few years back and had to transfer those to his new struts a year ago.

Where we live after yesterday my valance is pure white with salt. I think if it wasn't so wide all that salt would be on the front components and axle. Just my two thoughts.

I went with the 2 wheel drive valance, I think it looks better than the Tremor version. And instead of removing the "Prius catcher" brackets, I shortened them enough by trimming the end of the brackets so they're concealed

Very interesting video. My '21 just arrived about a week ago. My wife saw it for the first time this Saturday, and was commenting on that very substantial valance. Now after watching this video, I think I'll be doing the same thing to my truck. Which brings me to the question of why such a wide and substantial valance in the first place? It seems to reduce ground clearance by quite a bit. But before that, I now need to unload my '16 before I take delivery of my '21.

I test drove a used 22 F350 Diesel a few months ago at a Ford dealership near Detroit. I noticed two large crudely cut notches in that big ole lower front valance. I asked the sales guy what happened. I suspected they were for a snow plow but I honestly was not sure as I am not a native Michigander and dont know shite about snow. This guy told me that all the old guys are doing that to improve fuel mileage. I laughed out loud, he didnt, and I realized he was dead serious so I just moved on to the test drive. I asked him again inside the showroom in front of some other salesman and he doubled down on the fuel mileage story and nobody corrected him. I hope someone educated him after I left.

I'm installing a snow plow (western) and will have to cut out sections of the valance for the brackets and thought having a smaller valance might make that look less crappy for the other 9 months of the year. anyone else doing it for that reason? You can see the lip and the bolt brackets if you don’t have one at all. This basically hides that
