Wonderful idea. Unfortunately the pricing is way too high. $12,000 for the base kit of cut plywood panels is insane. We’re talking a few hundred dollars in materials and $11,000 in markup! I might pay a $2 - $3k the convenience of having the panels pre cut for me but not $11k.

I am doing all my own build but got some fantastic tips. Seeing your system I embraced the hex head furniture screws for visible fasteners and now the sound deadening on high points is an awesome tip. Who wants squeaks.

Our premium kit with the floor was around 450 lbs. We are now recommending the Smart Floor by RRE-Global as it lends itself to far more versatility. Our new UltraLite kit is considerably lighter as it is just walls and ceiling and the finish panels are now 1/4" ply as all the structural aspects are now built into our subpanels along with guides for you to use to cut out whatever openings you may need such as flares, fan, skylight, windows etc. Watch our latest video for details! You need to have your sound deadening in and ideally anything that gets cutout such as a fan, flares, capsules, skylight or windows etc.

I appreciate the kit design detail. But you lost me at self-tapping screws to secure the floor. I'd never put screw holes in the floor. That is asking for moisture intrusion and rot.

Advice on the floor if using a espar hydronic heating and pex on the floor….? Worried if height makes a difference and how that should be handled.

I wouldn’t even know how to respond to the tired , old “greedy company” nonsense. Peoples neglect to history is born out of the failure to realize capitalism is based upon a company selling a product at the market-bearing price. Oh, and this little truism allows them to hire and pay people that work for them. It’s kind of the whole reason it works so well.
