the files you put into Google Drive are either old, or aren't working properly. the game boots me into Mario Kart Wii, and it refuses to update to 5.4. Homebrew also only picks it up as version 1.0, and the options menu only says "Go back". how do I fix this?

Downloaded all of the files to my sd card but nothing appears in the home brew channel. I do believe my sd card is formatted properly since I was able to install riivolution and ctgp-r. Is there something that I’m missing? Do I need to have retro rewind (not the channel) installed already for it to work? Update: I was able to figure it out 😊 Moving the files that were in the app folder that came in the zip to my main app folder did the trick. Can’t wait to play ❤

I tried to install RR using this guide, but when I launch into the mod, it gets stuck on the "Saving... Do not touch the Power Button or RESET." screen when the game first starts up, and so I'm unable to actually *play* the game ;-;

Heya ZPL! Just wanted to let you know there’s a weird bug where if you have a thumbstick or any type of storage device plugged into the Wii when you launch retro rewind the options folder is empty and the launch button just brings you to vanilla MKW. Could also just be my Wii but just a heads up!

I'm getting a quite uncommon error, couldn't find anything abour it online. The Retro Rewind channel can't read my MKWii disc at all. Vanilla MKWii works, CTGP works, but every time i boot the retro rewind channel it gives me a disc read error. Any solution?

Hey, I've installed everything, and the options menu shows nothing, and clicking launch just launches stock MKWii. What's going on? Using a real Wii. CTGP has been working fine for me, do the two installs conflict?

This distro does not work at all on my PAL Wii. I've tried version 5.4 and 6.0.1 with no luck. I can install the wad fine, I can hit launch, but it just goes back to stock MKWii. Options page is completely blank.

This has been happening to me too. I’ve tried redownloading it, clearing stuff on my SD Card, but still doesn’t work. I have the latest version. It works on Riivolution. But I wanna launch it through the channel because honestly, I have too many MKWii mods and I wanna be able to use Automatic Updates. Is it something on my end or the mod’s end? Hope someone can help me, any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

@@Luigi_24 Yeah it seems more people have this problem, tried moving around the settings .xml file but did nothing, also couldn't find an old version, the new one always replaces the old one for some reason. So think either search the internet for an older version, or wait patiently until 5.5 gets released

yes, it copies an exclusive license for retro rewind, due to the change in the vr system. Your main license is still there on ctgp and other stuff

Mate! I just fixed it! There is a small key on my SD Card that I can switch from Lock to Unlock and viceversa. I just changed it and it works. Give it a try if you also have it!

I followed this tutorial flawlessly, the channel however didn't work and would take me to normal unmodded mario kart, I by passed it through riivolution and everything was going fine, (keep in mind this is the only channel I installed on it today) while scrolling through channels a black screen appeared and told me the system files were corrupted (a brick) pls don't install the channel just go through riivolution

I was waiting for someone to say this in the comments, But this happened to me too! btw its not a brick, It just means that its a corrupted wad. I ended up deleting so many of my wads just to figure out that it was the retro rewind one that kept crashing my wii
