@@thatoneguy2756 oh……. This is why you think Redcat geometry is wrong…….. it’s because you’re ignorant to the process of car alignment. That’s on you.

Just installed aluminum servo horn, knuckles and lower arms. At full turn lock my servo horn hits the lower arms. Been thinking if I should grind down arm corner. If I could just get the servo horn to go up 1,2 mm. Just also want to thank you for your videos. It has been a big help on my RDS journey. First time rc drifter and first rwd rc drift car I bought.

Double-check that you assembled everything correctly. All of those parts are the same dimension as the factory items, so should not have change anything that would cause interference.

Your videos have motivated me to get out RC stuff I put away 15 years ago. As well as picking up the RDS and trying drifting. Thank you for all that!! Just recently put the front knuckles on the RDS but now it seems to want to lock up side to side. Any suggestions thanks. George

Glad to be a bad influence! :) Depending on the alignment, it can be easy to over-extend the steering and get it to lock up. Here is the alignment that has been working well for me: kzbin.info/www/bejne/lWmUeop6lNF0o8Usi=Aq-R3IC4SV5E8sjP

Very informative video Troy . I'm torn between getting the redcat builders kit and the Yokomo SD 2.0 . What would you recommend?
@joelhodge972811 ай бұрын
Ya. Me too. Redcat or Yokomo SD 2.0?
@RoadsideRC11 ай бұрын
With over a $200 price difference....not really sure they are comparable. The savings of the Redcat alone could practically pay for most of the parts you would need to complete the build. Both can be tuned to perform great. This broadly comes down to your goals and wants. Want to have fun drifting at local events and with friends in the garage - save yourself a bunch of $$$ and get the Redcat. Want to add on every imaginable upgrade - then spend the extra and get the Yokomo. Honestly though - hard for me to get over the price difference for 99% of users.

@RoadsideRC thanks you definitely solved my issue . I'm the kinda person that wants every upgrade an have it look awesome also .

Builders kit is on sale for $149 right now. Just a heads up. I just swooped one up myself. Should arrive next Wednesday. Can't wait!

I was get in a trouble with my original knuckle. I have cut the plastic brake callipers as you recomend. Before with your alighment everything was perfect. But after I have cut those my wheels start to get stuck at 90° possition. Looks like those brake callipers was working like steering stopers. Do you think with upgreided part I will solve this problem ?
@RoadsideRC10 ай бұрын
Yes - this part has a stopper included.

Hello again, new to redcat. Do they provide a tool to remove the wheel cap? Just trying to remove the wheel but I feel like an idiot
@RoadsideRC3 күн бұрын
Grab a really small screwdriver. It just pops right off.

Hey, ik this is a bit of a weird question but I was looking online for getting a different body for the rds and the one I found is a 1/10 190mm with a 258mm wheel base which seems like it would fit with the wheels poking out do you think thats true?
@RoadsideRC10 ай бұрын
Correct - that body will be too narrow.
@NathanStorer-RC11 ай бұрын
What is that tool you used to pop off those plastic links? Seems like that would be super handy!

It is rather handy! It is an older version of this one: bit.ly/3wfykjG

Just got my knuckles and lower control arms, installed everything and I can’t get it to have full lock both ways without crazy amount of toe. Would you share your alignment settings? My finger tips hurt after about 3 hours of trying different mountings holes and adjusting toe links and camber links. Thanks in advance!
@aarongil8811 ай бұрын
Also, I went back and reset all the alignment setting from the first alignment video you did just to make sure I wasn’t doing anything wrong and it must have -20* of toe out still. I’m lost
@RoadsideRC11 ай бұрын
Interesting. You have something mounted wrong, or in the wrong spot. I am still using the basic alignment I had from that earlier video. Maybe just some small changes. If you assembled the lower arms and the knuckles like I showed, it would 100% match the alignment you had before you put the parts on.
