Anyone know how to get the pin out of the axle nut of the upgraded hub style on the Maxx?

I use the open end of the old halfshaft to go over the threads onto the hex to reset it

How are the out shafts holding up ? I ask cuz I have steel shafts and I want to reduce the weight ...

Shafts have been fine. As long as you're not full throttle landing jumps and avoiding any other obvious abuse to axles they're fine. I personally will not run metal / steel shafts I would rather break & replace my plastic axles than have to deal with drivetrain brakes because metal axles are less likely to break so it moves down to the next weakest link. That's just me though. Everyone has their own ways and reasons , so whatever works for you is all good!

Is there a difference between the version 1 and the version 2 widemaxx kit? got the widemaxx kit TRX8995G some days ago with the 8996X Steel driveshaft-Set, Aluminum Wheel Hubs and Wheel nuts

yes , v2 comes with the extended outshafts. V1 didn't come with extended outshafts so the stock shafts were used and it caused axles to twist easily. I assume you got the extended steel driveshaft set to fit the widemaxx arms.

@@RCWithAaron yep I did. But anyways I checked the box contents and tho it’s not shown on the outside it has the shafts inside. Crazy. But anyways I guess with steelshafts I don’t need to care about, don’t I?

This is V2 on the wide arm kits. Not V2 Traxxas Maxx, This was way before the Maxx 2.0 was even a thing.

@@RCWithAaron im in the middle of putting xmaxx shocks with a softer spring and redrilled the shocks piston holes with a taper behind them and added 90 wt. oil . Now i am finalizing The swing arms ,tie rods ,and driveshafts off the X max onto the max V2. All the shock tuning and suspension tuning I’ve done with what it came with was great but my ultimate goal is to make this where it won’t flip over and that the suspensions gonna eat up the suspension transfer from corner to corner

Volume is fine dude, the video in some spots isn't the best but it is pretty self explanatory.
