I used one of these showers for the first time, several weeks ago, up in Scotland and I really liked it. I hate the fixed shower head type showers you find in some hotels and campsites, as it's difficult to wash and rinse your balls etc, so having a 'hand set' shower head is really useful. Another great video, thank you for your time and patience for putting it all together. Cheers!

As an electrician, your incoming power cable size must be capable of carrying the correct current. The size in the demonstration is perfect, as this is a very high power shower. As stated, get a qualified competent electrician to check the size of your cable to make sure it’s correct, if not, you WILL need to reinstall the correct size. Great video

Hi Paul... valuable point as my switch board keeping tripping off, any recommendations? Thanks in advance
@djevil2472 жыл бұрын
@@luisbaessa7682 hey there. If your board is tripping shortly after starting up (within 1-2mins) then your breaker isn’t at the correct rating. What size is your breaker (amps, ie 20/32/40), and what size is your shower, 8.5/9.5/10 kwt? I can do the calculations for you and let you know.
@luisbaessa76822 жыл бұрын
@@djevil247 massive thank you for your reply, so my breaker is nsb32 and my shower is 10.8kwts thanks
@djevil2472 жыл бұрын
@@luisbaessa7682 No worries at all. That’s the reason your tripping the electrics. Your breaker is to small and requires an upgrade to a 40/50 amp breaker. But the most important part is that you require a 10mm cable from your consumer unit to your shower. If this is anything less then 10mm, you’ll burn out the cable and potentially cause a fire so please book an electrician and get it checked out buddy. Hope this helps. Any other problems, then please feel free to contact me again. Have a wonderful Christmas either way my friend.

Brilliant video just one question on the two heads install,with the Mira Shower cabinet mounted so far below the shower head how do you water proof the the electrical components ? which are inevitably going to have water sprayed onto or is the cabinet already waterproof or is there an longer version of that short hose that connects to the shower cabinet to enable you to mount your shower cabinet to say approx 18 inches from your cealing.

Are these any good and can the pole be cut so that the max height is 2.1m because this is for an ensuite in a dormer. Or what's the best electric shower out there right now with best pressure. Especially when it gets freezing outside you need to crank the heat up and it gets slower obviously. I have the old 10.5kw mira sport but put the stone stream shower head on and I've now gone through 2 thermal switches since doing that. I'm renewing the whole ensuite in March so looking for the best 1. Thanks in advance. Ian

very good video but i think you missed securing the grubscrew that holds the riser bar to the top backplate its not a spare in the pack , also dont use silicone (i think you used mastic which is better) inside the casing and then fit the cover as acetic acid is produced in the curing process of silicone that makes showers rust internally as it strips the coatings , and a question below about siliconing around the outer case ,dont as it causes the shower to sweat inside it needs a bit of air to circulate
@loafersheffield5 жыл бұрын
Extra grub screws? Big bonus...big, BIG.. bonus. Potable water off mains to an electrical heater. Do the install notes state requirement of a check valve directly after/off the cold water tee?

Never install a check valve onto a supply to an electric shower unless you also install a mini expansion vessel between said check valve and shower.
@loafersheffield5 жыл бұрын
Glad you said that. I was being deliberately provocative (devils advocate) I've been having this debate with an external auditing and testing organisation who issue water safe certs to a Co. that I sub-contract to. I have to do the monthly internal auditing and recording, they issue the annual certs after inspection. The Co. need the certs for insurance purposes. They couldn't even be arsed moving some suspended ceiling panels to inspect whether check valves were installed when the building went up 35 years ago. It was noted in their report 14 months ago. I x2 checked, found em and installed mini exp vessels in addition to their recs. I took them up on this omission and they got shitty with me. They actually turned the immersion stats up to 70 degs out of spite IMO. Took me an age to sort out the "goldilocks" zone min 50/ max 60 degs on all draw off points even tho a sentinel circ system is running, it was a right pain. They even chastised me for the cw recording points even tho those that I omitted were actually off mains, used daily and not tank supplies.

Surprised you did not run water through the 15mm cold supply before fitting the shower. It's good practice to do this because if it's a new supply or an old one debris can accummulate and if it's not run out it can get inside the shower unit.

I'm not sure about Mira specifically but the instructions for the Triton shower I'm fitting in my bathroom say NOT to silicone it in. I would remove your shower and check it's fitted properly. I think sealing it with silicone might make the shower overheat? Although they don't provide a reason for that
