Hey Steven thanks for the great video. I live in the California desert where it gets in upwards of 125 degrees. We depend wholly on our swamp cooler to keep the house comfortable. The central AC is just too darn expensive to run. We always locked open certain windows in the house for exhaust for the swamp cooler. I just installed just one UP DUX in our 2200 sg ft home and man I cant believe the difference in our home. NO MORE DUST!! we can keep the windows closed. Thanks.

Steve, you came through! I had 2 up dux to install, and I'm a pretty competent home handyman. However, those clips had me baffled. Nowhere on the instructions does it state they needed to be bent around the sheet rock so I was trying to figure out how they were going to hold the system in place. Also, if you look at the installation instructions it looks like the wide part is on the outside. I like the units but the instructions are a real POS...! Thanks for the video!

Good video, Steve! I'm considering installing UpDux but am worried about the humidity level in my attic. Have you monitored your attic for signs of the humidity level being too high (moist wood, mold, mildew, etc). I live in a dry climate but am still concerned about the long term affects of pumping moist air into my attic for 5 months out of the year.

Your attic should be vented by code. I've installed these for over 20 years. Never had issues with moisture. We have actually installed swamp coolers in the attic in Phoenix because the heat and dry air in the attic works better in the monsoon.

Now that its been 5 years... whats the effect on your attic? I keep hearing about "mold issues" and other things people keep warning about.
@bccie1pres6 жыл бұрын
Fox Vulpes I have not experienced any mold issues. I live in a dry climate in Southern California and my attic area is very well ventilated allowing for good flow of air, even when the cooler is not running.

I live in San Bernardino in Southern California. It gets humid sometimes in the summer and I have my swamp cooler running 24 hours a day. There are no problems in my attic at all. I check it regularly. Have a safe day!

@@kamranmandha1 I have the standard vents under the eaves and some roof vents that are standard here in Southern California.
