I purchased this mount from Amazon but as of 1/11/21 it was not available hence the link to their website. So far I have used this for a little over a month and still very happy with it. Honestly, for the money, this is such a great buy (my total was $260.00 for mount with tax). I paid $99.00 for the monoprice mount (black friday deal). It has a “wow” factor since it is motorized.
The big limiting factor with installation is the requirement for 16” on center stud spacing, the other limitations include weight of tv (77 lbs max…mine was 40.5 lbs), and size of TV (37”-70”…mine was a 65”). Please feel free to ask any questions you have in the comment section. Thank you for watching!

Well done very clear. I ended up buying a sound bar bracket from same manufacturer so the sound bar comes down with it instead of blocking it. Made me less nervous to install. I'm going to try these adapter brackets since my studs aren't center to TV. We'll see how that goes 🤞🏼😬

Great video! You should get yourself some sound bar brackets to mount that sound bar to the TV mount so it drops with the TV.

Thank you for the wonderful review. This is by far the best video on this mount. My studs arent centered, however I have horizontal wooden beam/stud all along the fireplace, so the bottom screws will go to these studs. The upper holes arent aligned to any studs. Can I use toggle bolts for those? or drill a hole in the plate to attach it to stud directly?
@how2q
@how2q Жыл бұрын
Honestly, to be safe, I would try and hit a stud. Toggle bolts are great, but the force of going out and down would probably, over time, lead to possible failure of the connection. Just my guess.

Is there a minimum height required from the mantle to the ceiling? Let's say TV height with soundbar (assuming its attached to bottom of TV with brackets) is 30.5 inches and mantle width is 8inches and the space above fireplace to the ceiling is only 32inches.. Will it fit and have enough clearance to come down?

Thank you for detailing the installation process, this made it much easier for our purchase! One quick question. Do you feel the table they provide in the manual (the one that states how high to mount the TV based on the mantel depth) is accurate? Or do you feel it overestimates how high to mount the TV? Thanks again!

Sorry for late reply…i used the table. Honestly, if it is a little over exaggerated the tv drops low enough it doesn’t matter.

Hey there! Awesome video mate top notch thanks to you I’m thinking of buying it! Just a question.. instead of the TV going all the way down can I stop it to where I like it? I’m thinking of installing it above a 500mm deep gaming desk that I have with 2 monitors. So the idea is for it to be up while I’m gaming and once I’m ready to go relax I want to bring it down past the monitors and for it to stop at my desired height? Wondering if that’s possible! The desk is also 750mm off the ground to the top of the desk and from top of desk to top of ceiling I have 1600mm left not sure if you need them specs to tell me easier but yeh! Thanks mate 🙌

Do you ever watch the tv in the "up" position? I read it can not be angled in up position. I've talked to some with manual like monoprice you had previously and lots of said they rarely put it down. I'm getting OLED so good viewing angle even while up, but just curious about your mileage.

Looking to get this mount with a 70 inch TV but my wall has one stud in the middle of the wall so the two studs on either side are too far for attaching. I was reading about using snap toggle bolts in all four corners and maybe a few more. Do you think this would hold it???
@how2q
@how2q 2 жыл бұрын
Wanted to get home and check to see if there was a centered hole on mount. There is…so you could do one bolt into wood and the rest toggle bolts. No guarantees but probably would work

How close does tv get to mantle when coming down? I have a low ceiling not sure this comes out far enough before going down.. your situation is a bit different, I have a 10" mantle and only have 2"s of play with tv. Not concerned with going to the lowest setting, don't need to, but idk if I can make the swing with such little space

When your following spacing chart for how high off mantel to install you won’t have a problem. Mine misses by several inches. The support arm that rotates down, when down, is about 1 inch above my soundbar

Where there is a will there is a way! That being said, I don't believe there is a "manual" option to move mount. I have had mine now for almost two years no issues with 100's of articulations in that time.

I have a question, my inset on the wall over the fireplace is 15”. So the Vivo will have to clear 15”. I see you have to have at least 13” the vivo must clear. Should I build the wall out by 2” for the mount? Or is there another mount that can extend beyond 15”? Thanks Jim
@how2q
@how2q 2 жыл бұрын
What i like about this mount is you do not see the mount at all when the tv is full up or down. I am not aware of a mount that goes out that far. My initial idea would be build it out 2”. That would be a 2x4 (1.5 inches) w maybe 1/2” or 3/4” mdf to “cover” it. Grab some black spray paint and ur good to go. Make sense? I have had this over a year and still love it

We have this mount and installed yesterday. When the tv raises back to the high position it tilts to the right. We’ve tightened the bolts on plates and arms. When it lowers it levels out about halfway down and is perfectly level the rest of the way. Any ideas?
@how2q
@how2q 8 ай бұрын
Wow very strange. I would say you can “shim” when it tilts but that would be annoying. Could it be possibly a hung up cord causing it to tilt slightly when it’s up? Honestly, that’s the only thing I could think of besides given the company a call and seeing if they have a solution.

Install level. If it looks off, i don’t believe there is a mechanical level option. Sounds simple, but on other mounts i have put small paper wedge under hooks that secure tv to mount. I did not have to do this on mine. It’s pretty darn level.

How much horizontal play is there? my studs are not centered over the fireplace where I want to put the tv so the mount will offset to the right and I will need to mount the TV then slide to the left. Also does this have any effect on the lift capabilities if everything is not centered perfectly.
