How To Install Window Deflectors on a 1993-2011 Ford Ranger

I totally botched this install. Or maybe I didn't? At least the adhesive I used is an upgrade from the original. In this video, I'll show you how to stretch a 2-minute project to at least an hour of unnecessary work. This was WAY easier than the install on my Xterra! Or at least it should have been. haha.

Read the Instructions! Or… maybe remove the cheap adhesive that’s already on it like I did. The new adhesive I used is way better.

OEM Style Aftermarket Grille - This is the one I tried to install but it does not fit without modification. I did not feel like drilling into a new piece and I didn’t like how the black looked with the chrome corner pieces. But if you’re in a pinch, you can make it work. I could not find the matching black corner pieces for the grille insert. amzn.to/3nDMuTs
ANOTHER OPTION for the aftermarket grille I may try!
OEM Style Aftermarket Grille - This is the same brand as the OEM Style headlight lenses I have. Those fit well.. so maybe this one might? It’s twice the price as the other grille but is PROBABLY better quality. amzn.to/3pGlWnr

That sucks. I have the same style visor on my E350 van and I haven’t noticed any issues with the tint yet.

You need to retract your video! The tape on the shade is correct It goes on the inside of the door!!

Nice work, I have a 1996 ranger 2wd , it’s hard to finds parts for it , when I bought mine didn’t have the spare carrier, do you know any solutions for the spare mounting that’s better than keeping the spare tire in the bed moving around? 😅

I found the spare tire carrier on Amazon earlier this year. You could get a Y strap. That’s a universal part’s pretty common. You’ll have to mount 3 hook points in the bed for the Y strap to attach to. I actually kinda wish I did that instead. But this Fabtech thing is nostalgic. lol. and you can actually lock it.

@@rayregnogarage I just checked out I am new to your channels , great video and I get it know Actually what the previous owner is mounting the spare tire on the side behind the driver using some type of metal plate mounted on the bed vertically and utilized the original eyebolt and looking nut. Do you happen to know the size of the wheel looking ? I got the 14” wheels which they suck and I am not able to find an off/on road tires

The wheel looking? I’m not sure what you mean. If you can upgrade to a 15” wheel you’ll have more luck finding off road tires

I bought a different set and I made the same mistake of thinking they put the adhesive on the wrong side lol! I didn't know there were in-channel type visors, I assumed they all went on the outside above the window.. Gotta read them destructions :) I cracked it so I had to return it but I just ordered the ones you installed, how are they holding up now that it's been about a year?
