A few queries Brian mate is this virtual machine on a separate drive say an external spinner and what security does one need plus does one have to go to the external drive if that is the place where the VM has been setup to boot to the OS?

FWIW - MS pushed Win11 to my Win10 insider VM on the Beta channel. So if one has a VM in a Win10 insider ring already, they might get a Win11 upgrade as part of the process if they are on the Beta Ring. So yes indeed, this did work for me. I keep a licensed VM for this very purpose, try things out after taking a snapshot so I can go back quickly should things go sideways. YMMV HTH

Britec. So happy you're healthly. Honestly. (Now can I whine about Windows?) Why doesn't Windows offer a way to update Sandbox to Windows 11? Then test Windows 11 virtually VIA Windows software. If that's too complicated -- -- why not have users log into a website and there's Windows 11? Windows 11 as a service, if you will. Open to Mac users as well. (Slyly) inviting THEIR feedback.
