those stainless screws probably act different when engine heat gets to them, they gall easily , they are not without major problem inducing faux pas

Neva knew the timing covers were interchangeable or the balancers. Can’t wait to hear this small block run another great video Dallas.

all of the small block and v6 timing covers are interchangeable in the same generation of engines. They are all really in the same family. Check out the Small Block and V6 timing cover compare vid and it gives you the full rundown. later V6, series 2 and later, are in a different family and do not interchange without extreme modification and machine work.

Late here, but going through the stack of vids when able - My Rover 4.6 and Buick 215 will be in lightweight (2,200 lb) daily driver street cars and already have Howards cam, Proform HEI dist. beehive springs, Grand Nat. WP, Melling pump plates-gears, and had planned to send off stock balancers for revulcanizing rubber, but if my application can also go Fluidamper, that thru Summit or TA? Great info. every video!

You always fill the block before any machine work is completed.

What is this engine that you are using the ATI Buick V6 balancer?

It’s a neutral balance Buick V6 balancer, I had the 350 Buick internally neutral balanced and then used the V6 balancer. In a stock application the v6 balancer can be bolted on a Buick 350.

@@G_Machine_Joeno, you would have to remove the rotating assembly and have it balanced to zero balance unless that balancer is for external balanced rotating assembly.

Their chart lists that P\N under "External Balance Damper Assembly - Buick V6 (430-455) Steel Shells 7.07" OD" There's only one other listed under "Buick V6 & V8 (ALL) Except 430-455 but is Internal Balance Damper Assembly".
