For those interested in how to integrate Notability notes into Notion so that you can update them without downloading a pdf every time and upload it to Notion, you can create a link to your note in Notability (under the share options). Then embed that link in your Notion note, and voila! Now when you make a change to the note, you can press update in Notability, and it will update in your Notion version as well. (Not sure if this was possible at the time this video was published.)

I have NEVER commented on a KZbin video before, but I had to thank you for this video! I just finished my masters in May and am starting a PhD program in a week, and was panicking. I was never very organized and my biggest dissertation fears are not around research and writing, but how to stay organized. I have Notability and just downloaded Notion earlier today. I am a former designer so I wanted to be able to use the super organization of Notion combined with the freeform ability to draw/mindmap in Notability. Your video has relieved my anxiety about starting my PhD program, and I now have a plan for how to organize both my written and drawn notes. Thank you so so SO very much!! I can't wait to practice with these tools; I feel much more confident about starting my program this fall! I'll be watching all your videos now!

If I'm not wrong you can also select your handwritten notes on Notability with the select tool and then paste in Notion, this way you can see it without that grey squareish surrounding, and it wouldn't be a pdf as well

Really nice video! Truly loved it! All the other comments took the words right off my mouth. I imagine a future where Notion and Notability work together to integrate Notability into notion, like creating templates with Notion, while having a "start writing" button, so we can seamlessly switch between Notion's super organization and helpfulness, with Notability's help of focus and interaction with the class. The perfect combo would be Notability and Notion for taking notes , while using Notion's amazing connection and features to help learn, recall and organize. With my overly optimistic views aside, loved this video.

Thanks for sharing. I have a master notes database that has notes from lectures, meetings, ideas, events and revision notes. I use my flashcard database for revision so have a template in my notes database for those style notes. Then I link my notes database in templates of my areas so I can make a note anywhere and it be categorized by the relation to an area. So many ways to do this in Notion which is why I love the app.

@@JacquelineBeaulieu Exactly!! I've seen that writing things down and planning stuff out on paper works better for a lot of people. Personally, I don't like scattered organization, I want all my stuff to be in one place, which was the problem with the integration but I saw the video about notion and paper planner integration, I was overjoyed especially because the planner you recommend is exactly what I was looking for. Something functional but not too overdone, has to-do list areas and time slots (extra bonus is the half-hour increments instead of hour increments) allowing even more detailed planning if necessary. I also like crossing stuff off a paper planner. Being outside and crossing something off on your phone... totally not as cool as pulling out a planner and a pen(cil) and just crossing something off and being like DONE. It just gives a bit more happiness 😅😄

instead of notobility its better to use OneNote notebook link so that you can even edit it. And from the live link you can even open the desktop app (if we open the link in desktop) or you can open the android or Ios app ( if you open the link in mobile) . Its way more better than the notability or using the embed command of the notion. And theres no need to export as pdf or anything. I use onenote to take notes and also handwritten notes or drawings. Where as I use the notion for task management with its good database support
