I genuinely wish I heard this 10 yrs ago when I migrated here. I'm gonna make some changes and step out my comfort zone. Your first point about "BEING INTENTIONAL ABOUT WHERE U LIVE" hit me real hard. I didnt start well. Time to change. God bless.💖🙏🏾🤗

Everything you said is 💯 accurate. I’d add volunteering at a charity or local church etc. Having something in common with the locals help build relationships and rapport very quickly.

'Be intentional about where you live .... where you live would not only shape your experience but that of your children'.... The part of 'brushing your your English speaking skills' really got me... After years of seeing several recycled contents on KZbin, this should be my first original content. The depth of thought is astounding and captivating. For this first time, i hoped it would be longer. You want to chase many of these others out of business oh (lol). Thanks Gloria.

Not me doing “hmmm, hmmm” from start to finish. Very well said 👌🏾. If you break the law your transgressions could reflect badly on your community. 💯 tell me about the sense of humor lol 😂

I thought this was an excellent, very accurate and well thought out presentation. Spot on! A couple of minor additions would be; to try to travel to see different parts of the UK as each area has a different culture and environment (architecture etc), which you touched on in regards to the accents. I'd also recommend visiting your local pub, many people from abroad believe a pub is just for drinking, whereas these are historically local social centres. You don't need to drink alcohol to enjoy them. Great video, thank you

@@Cactuscupholder If the host doesn’t want house parties every night then they better do their due diligence before letting in a lodger and also making sure the lodger understand all the house rules. You just don’t let people in your house and assume they’ll simply figure out the rules lol.

@@birdseyeview4406 Well, that's interesting because if I said that we can't trust immigrants to know how to be decent human beings with manners then you'd probably have a problem with that too, wouldn't you? You should be respectful of a country and culture you choose to move into. If not, don't move there.
@birdseyeview4406
@birdseyeview4406 Жыл бұрын
@@Cactuscupholder its interesting how your mind works but this has got nothing to do decency or morality. It’s about providing support on arrival. When you join a company, start a new school or join a club you get enrolled for basic induction and this is done for very good reasons. It benefits both the person as well as the organisation. Seeking to improve how we do things in this country is not a criticism, it’s part of making it great for everyone.
