Hearing you speak, one day I said to myself I have never seen anyone present God's word like this, peaceful, quiet, truthful and balanced not us running from extreme to extreme, I see wisdom and patience meet and I confessed this man has the holy spirit, such grace is not normal, it's not just the grace to speak but the grace to bring understanding and doing so in the right amount per time . I immediately wanted to know and teach like that, to have the self control to say only what was needful per time and not try to play the I know I know it all card. You bring all angles to it. With every speech seasoned with salt. I started binging on all your messages online.

Tit 1:9 ▪️Protect the motives of your learning. 🔸Acts 17:2-3, 19:8-10, 18:28 ▪️Be comfortable with people disagreeing with you. ▪️Never forget you're not trying to advance your own cause, souls are at stake. Day 66: How to intellectually prepare for ministry. There should be an insatiable desire to know God more. Because you want to help people there should be a constant awareness that you need to better yourself and your understanding to help others. It’s a matter of life and death don’t should and must be important to you. 1 Corinthians 1:26, it’s not about the wiseness or the intellectuality but the love of God, His word and commitment to Him. You keep pushing yourself to know better and come to a point where you are thoroughly furnished. Get to the point where your faithfulness is to the Lord Titus 1:9, be able to exhort and convict gainful sayers. Exegetical apologetics, is proving the text beyond reasonable doubt . Don’t just understand the word, understand how it was applied Acts 17: 2&3, Acts 19:8-10, Acts 18:28 20:26 At the end of the day , it’s to serve God and she happy when you stand before God.

I understand that I don't necessarily have to be intellectual or cerebral to serve God. But I can come to a point where I am truly and thoroughly furnished in the word. In my study of the word, learning to anticipate and plan for gainsayers helps to pay attention to the details and allows me be well grounded not just in the theology but in it's application. I must also learn to protect the motives of my learning. It must help me worship. It must help me be humble. "Attention, One of the greatest complements a person can give you."
