I interlock as well. I started with doing the 4 point rotation but I’ve switched to a 2 point rotation.I have 117 locs and now it takes me about 2 hrs to get it done. I’ve gotten faster over time

That’s great! If I end up doing it again I will try the 2 point rotation I heard it’s better . I’ve only done it about 3 times now so maybe next time I’ll be a little faster 😩… do you use the interlocking tool?

I started with the palm roll method but my retwist would only last a week…I’m Active so the interlocking method was better for me and I’ve been doing it 2 1/2 years…I usually interlock every 3 months or so. I do use the interlocking tool. The more you do it the easier it gets.

Love how you said top to bottom and right to left rather than using clock time. So much simpler and easier to understand. Your locs are really lovely. After the retie they look so fresh and neat! Gorgeous!! I interlock my hair every 7 to 8 weeks and love the result too, but somehow my locs never look as neat as yours do. I guess it's partly because I'm only one year in and there is still so much frizz lol.

Gorgeous! Im not one to do anything to my hair lol! I've always turned to the pros to do my interlock usually but I think I can try this myself I'm sick of paying the price for this lol! Going to try on my own I think lol! Or just let me sister start back doing mines either one lol! Why did you decide on 4 point rotation? That will give you a tighter loc & considering you retwist it may be better to try the 3 or 2 so you don’t get a demarkation line showing in your locs from the 2 methods. Be interesting to see how they mature. I personally found the 2 point method SO easy to use. Nice video would love to see follow ups regarding interlocking. 👍🏾🇬🇧

It could help… I would say do more research and see if it’s near fit for your hair. But it definitely last longer than a regular retwist cause it instantly locs the hair

The results are awesome and I love your hair, but I think locs are the best opportunity for textured headed people to have healthy hair. It’s the only style where you can get away with doing almost nothing, basically almost the same manipulation level as straight heads. Less manipulation equals healthy hair; straight heads do nothing to their hair. There is, I think, too much unnecessary scalpyness with people wearing locs. It’s probably partly because we get so fascinated with our hair and can’t just leave it alone. Our hair was not designed to be sleek, yet that’s our obsession. If we can’t embrace puffy fluffy hair, we are going to be stuck with unnecessarily scalpy hair.😯 Retwisting can be gentle but it’s not as tight and sleek as interlocking and it unravels especially with conditioners. So it’s a choice between tight and sleek or puffy and healthy. Everyone seem to be choosing tight and sleek. It wouldn’t be all that bad if it was only done for special occasions.
