I am 10 months into my 3rd set in 20 years. First set was palm rolled, and the second and third are interlocked. Love the convenience, the fact that I can wet my hair from the beginning, and that it holds way better on my 4a/4b hair. I maintain it myself and only interlock 4x per year. My roots are thick and healthy, and I have no complaints at all. Your hair is gorgeous! 💖

I started my locs with comb coils and tbh I would say your loc journey is whatever you make of it. Of course you need to know your hair before starting if it’s not in a good condition before you start then your locs might not look how you want it to. I would make sure my hair is at its healthiest state before starting locs. When it comes to styling you just gotta be creative with it . I find styles to do with my locs and that’s totally up to you because there’s many ways to style locs. I use my all natural oil that I make and sale for my locs. I use it for everything my retwists and when I’m moisturizing my locs. I also use my rose water mix every day/ other day to moisturize my locs. I know the struggle of a speech impediment. Same here I also had lisp/stuttering problem but with practicing each and everyday I got to a point where I can speak clearly.

When I had 450 locs it took me 2wks to interloc....soon after I said no ma’am and combined . Now my 250 locs take me 2days (intentionally). I could probably realistically finish in 8-12hrs😂

I’ve noticed a bump in my locs from interlocking. It’s not bad though and definitely worth not getting dandruff and flaky buildup in my locs.

I love your hair!!!!. It's beautiful. I just started my loc journey in Aug 2021. The problem I have right now and a concern is my hair is curly and the curl pattern is on the ends so I'm not sure how is going to end up as it grows but I've wanted to take it out but I'm going to keep going. Thank you and you don’t like your curly ends ? Depending on the circumstance you started your Locs that will effect how they will mature in the future . For your curly ends it might take a long time for them to fully lock up because the ends part is mostly the last to lock. I love seeing curly ends in people’s locks it gives it character. I have 200+ locs (Type 4C). I started with two strand twists and everything. I’m 8 months in and I recently retied it after 4 months. I don’t really like how skinny the retie looks to the Gillian strand of each loc. will it thicken up overtime?

I just started my loc journey and my loctician started with two strand twists and she interlocked the roots but I realised I don't like interlocking and I was wondering when I go back to her she could just retwist the new growth and just continue with retwists ?

From what I know it’s safe to do it anytime. Some people even start off their Locs work interlocking, so I don’t think that should be a problem. As long as she’s doing it correctly it should be fine

That’s a decision you have to make for yourself . I can’t tell you which is is best for you I Can just tell you the pros and cons for both, at the end of the day you know your Locs better so it’s up to you.
