Here's a tip from the other side of the table (I apply for jobs a couple times per year as a freelancer): respect the person in front of you and you'll be fine. In the last 3 years I have refused 4 very high paying offers because the interviewer was very condescending. I could never respect and work for someone like that even on big money.

I am having 14yrs of total experience in my field and today i was interviewed, to my surprise my interview lasted for about 2.5 hours. Interviewer asked me about my entire 14yrs experience, step by step when in addition they filled up 4page form of exact details from my resume. The HR department was unable to decide to hire me and asked for a day, after said time spent. I just wanna know whether this is a RED flag. They infact offered 02roles, i am thinking they are trying to save on budget here. I have never come accross previously, 1st experience. Please i need help, whether to take this offer.

Tell them about the next steps if you are feeling like they are good candidate. So in the other hand if they are not telling you that. You can make assumption that they think that you are not a good fit right away.

One thing to keep in mind at 4:50 - yeah this is a red flag in most cases, but not in all cases. Verbal acuity has only a loose connection to general intelligence. I've an IQ of 139 and appear totally normal on the outside. My brain processes outgoing language differently because of Asperger's. It gives me a massive advantage in productivity and focus over others, but I just don't have the silver tongue of a salesman. There's a reason 44% of people who have what I have are above average intelligence, but have an unemployment/underemployment rate of 85%, and that's because of interviews falsely associating verbal acuity with performance.

These types of interview questions are so outdated its dangerous. Situational questions dont let you assess the future potential they can provide for your company. It leaves alot of guess work on your end as a hiring manager. Grain of salt ladies and gentlemen.

The problem is its already hard enough to get applicants. Even when I do, more than half of them just pulled a no show. When they do show up, half of them are not even qualified. On the handfuls that are qualified, they simply turned down my offer even though I was meeting their pay expectations. I'm so dejected right now.

Quite a basic video. Does not factor in any human element. Lack of enthusiasm in interviews for example could be interview anxiety. Nervousness could also be because the candidates care. Does not necessarily mean they would not fit the organisation. Very basic level video
