BUILDING WEALTH IN 2024:
-Optimize for Cash
Start by tracking all of your expenses and income over the next 60 days using software like RocketMoney, YouNeedABudget, EveryDollar, MonarchMoney, or even your own excel spreadsheet - and then, log every single penny that goes into and out of your account. There has never been a better time in the last 20 years to earn money on your money, since High Yield Savings Accounts are almost ALL paying over 4% APY.
-Pay Down High-Interest Debt
The average American now owes more than $22,000 - Credit Cards, Car Loans, and Personal Loans make up almost ALL of this - and, at today’s interest rates, this could EASILY be costing you thousands of dollars per year. In terms of the HOW to pay down debt as fast as possible - you have two ways:
The first is called “The Avalanche Method,” and mathematically - this is the perfect way to pay down debt. This is because you’ll begin paying down the highest interest-rate debt, first, that’s costing you the most money - and then, once that’s fully paid off - you’ll pay down the next highest interest-rate - and the next - and the next - until eventually, it’s all paid off.
The second method takes on a more psychological approach, and that’s called “The Snowball Method.” This works by paying off the smallest balance first, regardless of the interest rate, and then paying off the next smallest balance. The reason this works is because you’ll get the “win’ of paying off a debt, in its entirety - and by seeing results, faster, it’ll be easier to stick with it long term.
-Creating a Roth IRA
This is an account that you contribute up to $7000 per year into - and then - by the time you’re 59.5, you can pull out all of your profit, completely tax-free. Not to mention, the ideal time to start and contribute to this account is when you’re young and not earning a lot of money, since - one: You’re probably already in a low tax bracket, so you have more after-tax income to invest, and two: You’ll have decades to allow compound interest to grow your money into something significant.
-Choosing Your Investments
First: Diversify.
You NEED to spread out your money across different companies, sectors, and areas so that if something happens to one - you’ll have others to fall back on.
Second: Don’t Try To Beat The Market.
Even though it’s tempting to want to utilize alternative investments, pick individual stocks, and create your own portfolio to get higher returns - the reality is: almost everyone fails.
Third: Research Index Funds.
A few years ago, Warren Buffett famously said that this is the single best investment for the vast majority of people. Index Funds cover a wide variety of stocks and industries, they’re well diversified, and - they’re really cheap to own.
Fourth: Assuming you can follow the above - Dollar Cost Average and Do Nothing.
Overall, if you want to build massive wealth - long term - all of it starts with the boring basics: Optimizing your savings, reducing high-interest debt, investing in tax-advantaged accounts, diversifying your investments, setting realistic expectations, and then - sticking with it consistently for decades.

I realized that the secret to making a million is saving for a better investment. I always tell myself you don't need that new Maserati or that vacation just yet. That mindset helped me make more money investing. For example last year I invested $10k in Bitcoin and made about $125k,but guess what? I put it all back and traded again and now I am rounding up close to a million

In my opinion, making a smart investment is not only a technique for earning passive income, but also a profitable way of saving for future expenses. People who fail to make the proper judgments early in life often come to regret it later in life. Nonetheless, investing alone can be difficult and risky. As a result, I recommend obtaining an expert’s assistance. The challenge is not just watching videos and reading investing books; it is about implementing information effectively.

I wholeheartedly concur, which is why I opt to entrust the day-to-day decision-making to an investing coach. If you wanna be successful, you most take responsibility for your emotions, not place the blame on others. In addition to make you feel more guilty about your faults, pointing the finger at others will only serve to increase your sense of personal accountability. There's always a risk in every investment, yet people still invest and succeed. You must look outward if you wanna be successful in life.

It's a common misconception that when a stock you buy skyrockets, the smart thing to do is sell it (or at least sell some of it) to lock in your profits. But the context matters. If the stock has increased sharply because the business is performing exceptionally well, it could still be a bargain. I'm still looking for companies to make additions to my $350K portfolio, to boost performance. Here for ideas...

I've purchased numerous stocks in individual firms. Because there are so many stocks that will skyrocket in the long run, it is currently safe to buy in on ETF and ride it out. Due to fud, I sold out early, but then retraced my ways and re-invested $350,000 with a financial advisor who manages my account. I received an 82% return last year and will see where it goes this year.

I used to work as an investment advisor. The advice presented in the video is excellent and holds true for the average American. While it's a fact that money can't directly buy genuine happiness, it does provide the means to access experiences that can lead to happiness. However, for individuals with a substantial portfolio, say around $5 million, if you observe closely, you'll find that most people in their 70s are still quite active (I live in LA), but by the time they reach 80, their activity levels tend to decline. So, it's essential to enjoy life at some point before it's too late. That enjoyable vacation might well be the experience that brings comfort in your later years. It's important to distinguish between spending money wisely and squandering it. Be prudent in your value-conscious spending.

Most Americans don't track their expenses and could be wasting money. People should prioritize building an emergency cash fund. Pay down high-interest debt before investing. Open a Roth IRA and invest for the long term. Diversify your investments across different asset classes. Don't try to beat the market; instead, invest in index funds. Invest consistently over a long period of time. Expect average returns of 7-8% over the next 20-40 years. The speaker's investment portfolio is split between real estate, index funds, cash equivalents, and alternative investments. Building wealth comes down to optimizing income and expenses, paying down debt, investing consistently, and diversifying.

Graham! Please note in your videos the contributions for Roth IRA are on a sliding scale. Even if your income is below the limit, you still may not be able to contribute the maximum amount. I had a mess of my taxes one year because I contributed the max amount and that was above the limit for my income. If you make between 147,500 and 161,000 the allowed contributions change

I think investors should always put their cash to work, especially In 2024, we'll start to see more market diversification. I'm hoping to invest about $350k of my savings in stocks against next year. Hope to make millions in 2024

Since risk is at an all-time high right now, perhaps you should be a little more patient and return when it has decreased. Alternatively, you can consult a trained financial expert for strategy.

Yes true, I have been in touch with a brokerage Advisor. With an initial starting reserve of $80k, my advisor chooses the entry and exit commands for my portfolio, which has grown to approximately $550k.

As an investment enthusiast, I often wonder how top level investors are able to become millionaires off investing. I do have a significant amount of capital that is required to start up but I have no idea what strategies and direction I need to approach to help me make over $400k like some people are this season.
