Most people never hear the phrase, “Stop spending money!” I retired two years ago at 57 years old. Our kids have to track their own allowance on paper weekly as a bearer bond redeemable for goods. They use the honor system, keep a balance, and track all the purchases they make. We have done it for years and now they know their net worth in realtime and never spend more than they have.
